Atlanta is much better off being patient and staying the course and hoping that they
1) stay healthy
2) young guys continue developing
3) NOP or MIL suck and their pick turns into a Top 5 asset

There is never too much value to send out for someone like Giannis

I love me some Trae but he isn't in the same stratosphere as LeBron

Also think JJ + Risacher > Lonzo + BI + Hart, and the picks proposed here are more valuable than the Lakers picks

Yeah, Milwaukee should do this as the MIL/NOP pick would be a God draft pick for them. Not only do they get their pick back on a brutal Giannis/Lillard-less team, but it could also be #1 via New Orleans sucking. Add in JJ, Risacher and other picks and it's hard to turn down.

I'm conflicted on this. A part of me would love to give the Bucks their picks back and JJ, plus 2-3 of our own. The other half says don't even entertain it because it might end up being more than that.

In the event that it's costing us JJ, Zacch, Milwaukee picks, and another 2-3 of our own picks........ well we might as well keep what we got and hope we can land more lottery talents in the next 2 years. KP ,regardless of his injury history, seems to make that decision even easier for me.

JJ was turning the corner this year. Dys is DPOY caliber. Zacch had some great moments late in the season. OO has a perfect counterpart to help platoon the 5.

If Gianni’s wanted to leave, Atlanta would be a great destination considering how weak the east is for at least one more year and in general compared to the west. I assume he wouldn’t want to come west if competing was the primary focus.

I’d love to see what Trae could do with space created by Giannis. It’s what the Bucks were hoping Dame could be, but Trae is young and ready to go.

But maybe no state income tax and playing in Houston is more compelling. I dunno.

I think this makes a lot of sense, for all parties
Giannis/Dyson/Giannis/KP is a VERY interesting group-they could keep Newell for the bench and add shooting
Milw starts over and builds around JJ/Risacher

Could it be 2 separate deals?
Giannis for JJ/Risacher/KobeB/2026 Milw/NO pick/2029 Hawks pick/2030 swap/2031 Hawks pick, plus ATL has a few other future 1sts

OO/Vik K/Gueye for Kuzma

That's very true. That's still a lot to give up for a team that doesn't control all of their picks until 2028. We'd blow everything just about on Giannis now and still need some quality depth. Ultimately, we just become what the Bucks are now. A team scrounging around for the right pieces to put around a star. I think I'd rather take my chances on our young guys turning a corner and Trae leading them.

Ding ding ding.
Giannis is good, but the cost of multiple young talent and multiple unprotected firsts is too high. Atlanta becomes a team that unless you are winning the title year 1, it will be hard to add any meaningful pieces

My offer is 2026 and 2027 Pels-Bucks swap, JJ, ZR, and the rest fillers. They get two good chances for a top 3 2026 pick, a 1st in 2027 likely top 15, Risacher, and whatever salary matches.

If not, I'd offer that package for the next big star looking to relocate.
