Chicago - Brooklyn - Indiana

Post#1 » by Godaddycurse » Wed Jul 2, 2025 8:40 pm

Chicago trade: Smith, Williams, Carter, POR 2026 LP 1st
Chicago receive: MPJ

Indiana trade: future 2nd
Indiana receive: Smith (MLE)

Brooklyn trade: MPJ
Brooklyn receive: Carter, Williams, POR 2026 LP 1st, future 2nd from IND

Why for Chicago: consolidate roster a bit and get out of williams deal
Why for Indiana: get a budget stretch big to replace turner
Why for Brooklyn: add an asset and free up 20M in capspace next year

The Pacers might be interested if our other center options fall through. We liked Jalen Smith while he was with us and would probably be able to integrate him pretty easily.

I could live with this for the Pacers. Good for Chicago to get out of Pat Williams long term deal and only give up the Blazers pick which might only be a 2nd in 2028.

If you think Patrick Williams is worthless why is BRK so willing to take him for MOJ who they just gave up one of their few tradable assets to get? They just added how many rookies, they don't want Williams taking their minutes.
The Bulls weren't willing or able to put MPJ on an Eastbound plane why does he look so much better on a Westbound flight?

No from Brooklyn. Jevon resented being here last time, I definitely don't want Patrick over MPJ, and we would need a real actual 1st plus more to make that exchange.

Pacers could take Stix in a two team deal. I think we'd do it if Jackson needs more time to be 100%.
