Charlotte trade: worst of MEM/ORL/PHX/WAS 2026 1st
Chicago trade: Smith (into exception), POR 2026 LP x3 yrs 1st
Why for Charlotte: add a big
Why for Chicago: turn a maybe 1st into an actual 1st
or maybe charlotte sends back okogie or PatC if its too good for chicago?

I like it...
Defense wins draft lotteries!
Fortune favours the bold, so it ducked Nico Harrison.

Re: Charlotte - Chicago
Calling Smith neutral at best here, but gambling a mid 20s pick on the chance that the Blazers make the playoffs at some point in the next three years (preferably as a lower seed) is an interesting proposition.
Guess it depends on how much you think Scoot/Sharpe/Deni/Clingan can accomplish as a core, and if you think Jrue/Grant can still help that cause in 2-3 years.
I'm personally not very high on this Blazers core, and would try to work Vucevic into this instead of Smith (Okogie+Connaughton matches, and Okogie doesn't actually have to be guaranteed the full amount for this to work)

Hornets have 1 roster spot remaining between Green, Okogie, and Pat C. So you'd have to bundle all three in a 3-for-1 where Charlotte adds a viable center to that last spot.
It has been written...

No doubt the Bulls could have moved that PORT pick by this time. The Blazers would likely squeeze into the playoffs and be 15-17 in the draft so basically you want the Bulls to give up on a young, athletic, well liked in the ocker room, productive when playing, stretch 5 to move back 4-5 slots to 19-22, don't see that as their smart move
