They just trade William for 2 very late 1st round pick, and then immediately trade better value future firsts for Claxton? Cant understand the logic here.

They didn't like Mark clearly, his defence had gone and I'm guessing they didn't trust his health either.
Unless our new 2nd round pick, or the older 2nd round pick diabate suddenly become a decent starter we are relying upon 62yo plumlee to carry the load. So us fans feel desperate and the front office is straight out tanking again.

Honestly I really cant understand the logic for all the offseason move. They have too many guards right now, but they lack true talent in the PF/C, I mean decent sized PF, not undersized one. The roster is so imbalanced.

Diabate, NSJ, and maybe a second for Goga?

WCJ/Mo/Diabate/Isaac fill Orlando’s center rotation fine.

NSJ dumped at some point with cash because I assume Orlando needs to trim a few million more to stay under the tax?

Could just be Goga into CLT’s MLE if you wanted and send back 1-3 seconds?

Goga isn’t good.. but Plumlee is the bar.

Claxton is much more reliable in terms of availability and also a much better defense as well... I suppose the failed transfer to LAL also caused the relationship to deteriorate.

Looking from the outside, I'd say the HORNETS are busy improving their talent (in a vacuum), they probably know they're not ready to compete. All the deals they made are good ones and will likely pay off in the form of future assets.

yeah the front office has preached patience as its year 2 of their build and they are taking their time to build their way.
