Re: Giddey to Suns?
I had heard that Chicago was interested in Kuminga. Would a Giddey for Kuminga trade work? I am a Suns fan, but I am leaving the Suns out of this. I am not sure how much GS would want Giddey. I would think they would want more of a 3 and D sg.

Makes sense for Phoenix, absolutely zero sense for the Bulls.
Give me Giddey all day, every day and twice on Sunday over Green.
How does Chicago not need a PG?
They traded a Zach LaVine last season, why would they trade for the Temu version of him?
TBH Green > Giddey.
Green is a better athlete, and will continue his abilities as his career extends.
Giddey is an average athlete.
Okay cool he's a better athlete, good thing that being a better basketball player is what matters in the game of basketball and Giddey is a better player than Green.
I actually don't think so. I bet Jalen Green has a big jump this year, and Giddey, well Giddey stays the same. Flashes of big games, and below average games.

By all reports they tried to flip Green.Mr Puddles wrote:zimpy27 wrote:Suns need a PG more than the Bulls do.
What can make this trade possible?
Green for Giddey straight up?
Suns fans would love Giddey (it's been discussed on our boards), but by all reports the front office likes Green and a Giddey, Booker, Green line-up brings back memories of last year's discombobulated lineups.

Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

You can bet all you want, Green has been nothing but an incredibly inconsistent and inefficient scorer his entire career. Giddey on the other hand has been more consistent and improved every year.

So I repeat my question from earlier. Is Chicago interested in Kuminga? Leave the Suns out of this completely. Is there a place for a Kuminga/Giddey deal?

Can one swap two restricted free agents on a pair of matched sign and trades? Or, is this going to get complicated.

No, all the reports have Kuminga's camp being interested in Chicago not the other way around.
The Bulls drafted Buzelis and Essengue the last two years, they'll be looking to prioritise their development over bringing in Kuminga on what will be a bad contract if he's on 25M+.
Not to mention both Buzelis and Essengue are big athletic wings that can run and fit with Giddey.
