I’ll add that with Murray and Ellis and a board cleaner like Domas having a big POA specialist makes a lot of sense.

That's exactly why Kuminga wants to leave GS. We have tried to make him a 2-way player and he is much more interested in his iso scoring. He has not been playing because he loses concentration on defense off-ball and has an inconsistent motor.
Kerr has tried to do exactly what you're looking for, JK has not been willing to focus/care about the dirty work. That's why we are here.

The thing to find out is is he Ayton. Or does he get a giant wakeup call now that getting paid time is upon him and he can't. Ayton played the game just long enough to get his max deal then went right back to selfish play. I assume in LA we will see a guy rolling hard and trying on defense because his agent will make sure he understands that's the only path to getting paid.
Kuminga not smart/good enough to have done so all along, but his agent is probably telling him wherever you end up, you got to do these other things or you are going to bounce around on small short-term deals.
Wiggins finally figured it out. Maybe this guy has to leave the Bay as oppose to arriving there to figure it out.

Well, I think he is somewhere in between Ayton and Wiggins. AW processes the game very well naturally, especially defensively, I don't think the change of scenery helps JK there -- but it is possible JK might increase the motor/consistency. He certainly will have that "prove them wrong" mindset at first, which could certainly help.
However if the Kings don't let him be one of the featured scorers, he's not going to be happy. I think he's one of those guys that if he doesn't get to do his favorite stuff or it isn't working well, the rest of the package may not come with it. The nights where his scoring is off, it's rough for the team as he doesn't provide a lot right now besides scoring punch. The advantage the Kings have is that they are not trying to contend, which is the sticking point in GS -- he doesn't have room to make a lot of mistakes.
So I definitely believe he'll do better with more minutes, but skeptical about him becoming a 2-way player, as I just haven't seen the desire. The Warriors have really tried -- he was told repeatedly what he needed to do for more playing time, and it frequently came down to defense/dirty work that did not end up getting done (along with playing within the flow of the offense).

By all accounts, JK's camp has been telling him that he's Kawhi/Kobe so the likelihood of a sudden aha moment from his agent seems unlikely.
Frankly, I think it's the agent (or possibly family) that is the problem at this point.
