 I'm not the biggest RJ fan in the world but this is just disrespectful and false. KCP is nearly done and making wayyyyyyyy more than he's worth.

Edit: Guess I'm on my own in this thread. Convinced people still think KCP is the 2023 version. He's fallen off hard ans might not even be rotation worthy next year.

I don't know if KCP is completely washed. You never know what nagging, unreported injuries are impacting a player, and he's young enough to have a bounce-back season. That said, I agree that KCP should not be valued on his 2023 version, and neither should RJ Barrett.

I would, however, say that KCP is the type of player who has a lot more value in a heliocentric offence built around a star like Jokic/LeBron etc. KCP has had mostly good seasons playing 3&D off of a star, and mostly mediocre seasons when he is forced into a role where more is required; this was true when I watched him on his rookie contract on DET, and has been true ever since, including in Orlando last year. As such, KCP is a bad fit for TOR where that is not the kind of offence the Raptors are running, nor should they try to run given their personnel.
