I find it really hot that you guys refer to each other with terms of endearment like sweetheart... But in his defense Cole does suck pretty bad and the only thing good about his contract is that there's only one year guaranteed left

As for the op... It leaves the cupboards pretty bare in Portland and they would be in a similar situation to Arizona with not enough to get there and nothing left spend asset wise

I am sure the Suns would have been happy to have the youth like Sharpe, Wells, Clingan, Hansen, Kamara in addition to their super-3.

Suns out: Booker
Suns in: Grant, Jrue, 3-4 1sts from POR

Grizzlies out: Ja
Grizzlies in: Avdija, RW3, Scoot

Blazers out: Avdija, Grant, Jrue, RW3, Scoot, 3-4 1sts
Blazers in: Booker, Ja, Wells

Suns:
Jrue-Green-Brooks-Grant-Mark W.
Bench: Allen, Dunn, Royce, Maluach

Grizzlies:
Scoot-Pippen-Avdija-Aldama-JJJ
Bench: Ty, Coward, KCP, GG, Edey, Clarke

Blazers:
Ja-Booker-Wells-Kamara-Clingan
Bench: Lillard, Sharpe, Thybulle, Murray, Hansen

Suns would cash out Booker to get future assets for rebuild, while staying relatively competitive in the upcoming season when they don’t have their pick.

Blazers would go all in, while keeping most of their their young assets (Kamara, Wells, Hansen, Clingan).

Grizzlies would turn the page on Ja and give the keys to Pippen, Avdija and Scoot who should supplement JJJ.

Just leave Portland completely out of it, and it’s a deal!

Not sure why a non blazers fan would pitch this, but instant rejection based off the fact Ja and Booker are fake stars that won’t take us anywhere. Do I need another reason?

Respectfully both things aren’t true. You have us mortgaging our entire future here for a couple majorly overpaid D list stars

Please take no offense from this question, I’m just curious.

Do you think POR has an extra standard of care avoiding players with a negative public perception (like Ja) leftover from the Jailblazer days?

Or for casual fans, is that time long past and forgotten?

Not entire. POR would still have 1st picks and 5 (!) starting caliber rookies.

I’m confused by this statement. Blazers would have 5 starting caliber rookies?

Agreed.

Let someone else overpay them.

I think this is the case, but not sure to what degree. What is the minimum a player would have to do to reach the "too negative public perception" threshold? Idk

I don’t even know what that means.

POR has avoided dirtbags since the end of the jail blazers.

Yeah, I see 1 guy who will be a rookie named and 2 guys coming off of their rookie years mentioned.

Yeah, I see 1 guy who will be a rookie named and 2 guys coming off of their rookie years mentioned.

I meant “on rookie contracts”. My old brain made a shortcut.

Ok, that makes more sense. Thanks for clarifying.
