Thought this thread was about Lively and White? Seems really pointless to make up descriptions and then think we are contributing to the discussion.

Lively has a major issue that depresses his value that is a valid reason for a Bulls fan to have limited interest -- he can't stay on the court.

But this is a playoff proven defensive anchor with solid passing skills for a big. You are describing former Bull Daniel Gafford, not Derrick Lively. Why?

This. Big believer in Lively's game, hoping that he gets a long run of good health so he can show it.

You are describing Isaiah Hartenstein, not Derrick Lively. Why?

How is it pointless to use valid descriptions of the player archetypes in response to a post stating that one of the player archetypes is inherently more valuable than the other?

Also, thanks for mentioning the availability issue. Yet another reason the trade makes no sense for Chicago.

I mean 18 months ago he anchored the defense of a team that went to the finals on the strength of their defense. As a rookie.

He's more than just lob guy.

Now I blame nobody for not wanting to invest in him. He's quickly becoming the defensive version of Mark Williams where it doesn't matter what he can do because he's never there to do it.

I don't think he holds much trade value and Dallas should keep him this year and maybe another before deciding if they want to pay him.

I just like talking about who players are is all.
