2007 2nd round pick
Sacramento rebuilds for the future. Brandon Wright looks to be a very active fit next to a young Spencer Hawes. He gives the Kings hope of a promising future front court. Kings shed salary for free agency.
Golden State addresses their back-up PG position for only this year in terms of contract and get a very good PF who would be a seamless fit for their style for the next couple of years that is on a reasonable contract. Williams expiring contract will allow the W's to extend Biedrins/Ellis this off-season while improving for this year. Douby adds yet another player who can come off the bench and light it up. Warriors fans are familiar with what Quincy can do.
Miami upgrades their PG position by a lot, they downgrade PG some but also pick-up Pietrus to solidify their wing positions. THis move helps put Miami in a position to get back to the playoffs and contend.

With such an up-tempo long range bombing swaud...Haslem is a GREAT fit. His ability to run the floor, REBOUND the basketball and hit the mid-range J is a perfect fit. The mid-range J opens up cuts to the basketball for when the long ball in unavailable. I don't understand where you think a 'mid-range' game hinders a team that relies on long-distance shooting coupled with attacking the rim. He's an IDEAL fit at PF due to his strong knack for grabbing rebounds and giving the Warriors additional possessions.

Right now we're very happy with Harrington at the 4 (last night 16 points 11 rebounds) and we see Brandon Wright as his future replacement. You'd do better in trying to get Harrington for UD, plus we have no interest in taking on any more salary (via TPE).

Haslem would be a decent fit for GS, if the Warriors were willing to take the luxury tax hit next year (which they probably aren't).
However, there is absolutely no chance that GS trades away Wright to get Haslem.
Replace Wright with O'Bryant and have GS give a 2nd rather that get one is as much as GS would give up even if they were willing to pay the luxury tax next year.

All I can say is you watch the Warriors often enough to have POB listed before Mbenga. That tells me you don't watch the Warriors very often.

I watch the warriors enough to know Mbenga could be cut any given day....and that Harrington sees many of the back-up C minutes.

Spot on. Come on now, Smills. The Kings end up saving $43.7M (PLUS any lux tax considerations next year), including $15.3M savings THIS year, AND get a lotto-level pick in Wright?
No chance. None, especially if it's the Warriors you're ripping off. I've said before, and I'll say again...if KT is the ballast on Bibby, you might get expirings back. MAYBE. (Move Bibby without KT, and you might get a young asset or two as well. Adding KT for expirings means you give at least that asset back.)
Here, you get BETTER than expirings, AND turn Douby (who will have little worth to the Warriors with all their scoring guards already) into Brandan Wright. Completely preposterous.

Not gonna value Haslem as = lotto pick, won't want to waste $9 mill on a 3rd string PG,don't have the spot or minutes for Douby,so I doubt GSW does this.
I could see GSW taking in a SMALL deal with TPE,under $4 mill if there's a clear plus to the whole deal, but here, that's not quite the case. This DOES make GSW a bit better this season. A Haslem type ,assuming Nellie uses him-adds balance. My ongoing bitch is--however-a bit too much SHORT view on personell and we're a bit too anal on the $$$ stuff. I'm looking at the reality that Nellie is not long term....but Wright can be.
The GSW front office..Old Rem...Nellie....each have some issues with this, and not the same ones. But it probably adds up to GSW NOT doing it.
CENSORED... No comment.
