Im curious as to what you think the "various factors" are
.

What is this? Question the heck out of a Kings fan?

Umm, knowing that the deadline is near (Somewhat) teams are prone to pull the trigger to deals that they are either benefit to the team or negative IMO. There is also deals that can change the team structure and they need a good PG...I cant really explain ALL the factors but they are there IMO...

All in all, the Kings are not looking to trade Bibby. But people always paint us as desperate which is not the case obviously...

I think the Bibby trade is definately done. Next would be combination of Artest,SAR, and/or KT. A starting PG and PF with good contracts and to join the youth core. I think thats the best deal on the table til Feb 09.
Besides that Cavs would have to give a 2nd or Lotto protected 1st to Portland but a pretty even deal otherwise.

Washington won't do that trade at all. Etan Thomas is rumorerd to be considering retirement. Plus they have been depleted at guard postition with all the injuries so I dont see that happening.

I think Hughes best chances are going to Utah for Kirilenko, and AK playing PF in cleveland.

Why would Utah even come close to doing that? Right now Brewer and Korver are better than Hughes, so they don't need nor want him.

You forgot to add LeBron as sweetner in order for the Wiz to take on Hughes' contract which is a toss-up for the worst contract in the league with Kenyon Martin. I think that would be enough to get the Wiz to include that #1 pick you want (maybe even get the protected #1 from the Griz too!).

Good luck making ANY moves with that Cavs roster/contract situation. Ferry is really living up to his father's GM legacy...

Oh goodness, no. Utah wouldn't even have done that in the offseason when Kirilenko's value was in the trash...since then Kirilenko's has gone considerably up whereas Hughes' has gone down. No chance of this, IMHO.

I can see Portland doing that deal. We take a hit in production with Frye and Jack being more productive players than Simmons and Brown.

However, Miles is pretty much untradable at this point and Frye and Jack are a pretty fair price to give up for Portland to not have to go through the pain of trying to reintegrate Miles into the line up. It also gives the Blazers several million more dollars of salary off the books to use to target a FA in 2009.

I'm not too familiar with either player, but it looks like Brown is a poor man's Jack and he could slide into his role as a back up SG who drives to the rim. His expiring is also nice as his departure will open up a roster spot for Fernandez next season.

I'm assuming Simmons doesn't get a lot of minutes because hie s too raw, but I red that he is considered something of a defensive and rebounding specialist. The Blazers definitely need these two things I can see him being a decent C on the 2nd unit with Outlaw at the 4.

I could even see Snow getting 10-15 minutes in games where his perimeter D and vet presence would needed.

As a Blazer fan, I'd support this deal.

Not bad. Portland needs more incentive to sign off on trade 1. The same can be said of the Wiz and trade 2. Not too far off though...
