Shaq to Milwaukee? Redd to LA? Magette/Mo Will to MIA?

Post#1 » by DanTown8587 » Mon Jan 7, 2008 8:39 am

MIL GETS: C Shaquille O'Neal, SG Daquean Cook, PG Sam Cassell, Miami #1 08', LA #1 09

MIA Gets: F Paul Davis, C Dan Gadzuric, F Tim Thomas, G/F Corey Magette, PG Mo Williams, G/F Bobby Simmons

LAC GETS: G Michael Redd, G/F Ricky Davis, G Smush Parker

Seperate deal: MIA deals G Jason Williams to Memphis for C Darko Milic and F Hakim Warrick

I know ever Buck fan is gonna tell, "Thats to much, Bob" this deal does have some benefits. You get two things from Shaq: A true Center who would move Bogut to the 4 and Yi to the three and the possibility that he retires. You get two first round picks in this draft and you are rid of Simmions and Gadzuric and. Miami gets two starters in Williams and Magette and good depth in Thomas and Simmons. The Clippers, afraid of losing Magette, get to replace him with Redd who fits in with the offense of post and shoot, and two expiring contracts.

MIL
Cassell/Bell
Mason/Cook
Yi/CV
Bogut/Voshkul
Shaq

MIA:
Mo Will/Quinn
Dwade/Simmons
Magette/Warrick
Haslem/Thomas
Darko/Blount

LAC
Livingston/Knight
Redd/Mobley
Thornton/Davis
Brand/Powell
Kaman/Williams

If as a Bucks fan you want no part of Shaq or playing Yi at the three, I understand and could totally see why you would want no part of this.

I am stretching on this on, but curious as to why the Bucks say no, getting two first rounders.

If We're rebuilding, why on Earth do we want Shaquille O'neal? It makes no sense. Miami can't deal their first at this point because it's protected. Not to mention you just have a bunch of unhappy players in Milwaukee.

I thought a shaq-bogut-yi and two picks (i guess the heat 09 pick) would be a good start, but after I posted I realized it was three years on the deal, not two.

I can see that, like I said, trying to force it. Hate to say it but that is a terrible trade after 15 minutes and o yeah, Michael Redd is one hell of a player to try and trade.
