Brought up a CV for Thornton deal offhandedly on the Bucks board a month or so ago. Like you said, Thornton is ready to contribute more now and any CV trade the Bucks made would likely be a last ditch attempt to win now (as absurd as it sounds, we are only 3 games out of the #8th spot).
I'm not sure LA would have interest though. Maggette's contract ends in a year or two depending on if he takes his player option and he might not be in their long term plans.
