Now re-read what I posted. Just because NYK's owner doesn't care about money DOES NOT MEAN that other owners feel the same way.

LAL's not going to pay Zach's salary without some incentive.

I never said that other owners wouldn't care about money either I just wish to point out that most GMs aren't as cash conscience as the people on this board are. You would think the league was made up of a bunch of cheap bastards and one spend thrift the way people talk on this board.

Randolf is a good player just not a good fit in NY becuz of his front court mate who has the same game. Randolf with Bynum and Kobe, Odom wud be scary

Of course. Just look at Randolph's numbers. Yeah-his D is mediocre, but there's plenty of guys you can say that about. I'd think NYK would think trading Curry instead is smarter. Just a giveaway of Randolph would be a weak move.

rem, Z-Bo is just like Murphy was on the W's...sure he puts up good numbers, but he does so in a way that is not conducive to winning. He needs too many touches and stops the whole flow of the offense with his inability to pass once he's gotten the ball down low.

Why they didn't just let Lee step in to the starting role...it still amazes me.

The lakers are a top 5 scoring and rebounding team. So what does zBo bring that they really need that offsets his cancerous attitude, lack of defense and ball movement and horrid contract?

Would LA do:

Brown/Vlad for Zach/Lee?

Oh Knick fans, chill out, I'm joking.

I disagree with you. All 30 owners are very rich men, and 26 of them or so are unwilling to go over the lux. This summer, you saw PHO's Sarver give away two late first rounders and a productive, expriring player solely for money, and he has a team capable of winning a ring with a closing window! Moreover, of the four teams significantly over the lux (EDIT -- Five now with Anderson Varejao), only one of them, the Knicks, have gone gone Steinbrenner and completely disregarded the lux.

I think this is what hurts the Knicks so badly in trying to make deals. Several of their players are talented, but nearly all the vets have price tags that make them unattractive to the other owners, who are all more conscious of costs. I suppose it made sense on paper for the Knicks to acquire these players, with an owner who says "Get talent - price doesn't matter!" Unfortunately, that's a one-way street.

AgreeX100. We do not need ZBo to mess up what the young guys AND Kobe have created here...

Thank you for stating the obvious. I never said other owners weren't cheap nor that a team other than the Knicks believe in getting talent no matter the cost. It is a two way street and if a team is going to take on a big salary player not named Lebron, Kobe or Garnett it is understood that some lesser but still expensive contract will be going the other way to help mitigate the cost. For example, if the Lakers decided that they wanted Randolph and the Knicks asked for Kwame Brown's expiring contract as part of the deal I don't think anyone would see it as unreasonable if the Lakers were to insist the Knicks take on Radminovic. anyone other than Smills91 who because he is a Kings homer wouldn't trade SAR and Kenny Thomas for Randolph because he doesn't want to pick up Randolph's extra season.

Some teams are more willing than others to pay millions for talent but while the Knicks seem to like to do it freely most but many teams would happily take on the millions if they could lessen the impact of their financial investment.

OK, who is the poster behind that #1knickfan screenname? Who does this sound like?

1. Deny deny deny (starts consecutive posts "I never said ..")
2. Hates conservatives (Conservative:/con-serve-a-tive/ n.person who hides head up butt to avoid reality)
3. New York (obviously)
4. Kind of cold ("Thanks for stating the obvious")
5. Soak the rich ("I just wish to point out that most GMs aren't as cash conscience as the people on this board are.")

Hillary?

Incidently, I've been accused of being McHale, so "I feel your pain!"

Kwame Brown's defense and size is greater than the offensive skills and pudgy body of Zach Randolph. Especially when it comes to what the Lakers need.
