Wow....I don't see either teams doing this.

Take out the 1st round pick ( which would be the main incentive for the Wizards to do this ) and I may consider it since both Jamison come off the books after this season. Same goes for Arenas since there is no way that he is going to sign with the Pacers after this season.

But I doubt that the Wizards would consider if the Pacers take out the 1st pick.

Pacers pass, Arenas would just leave us. I'm not even sure that Jamison would stay.

I don't see why Washington does this anyway. The 1st would be their only real reason. JO doesn't make them that much better.

will not happen, o'neal will never play for the wizards. he is over the hill and his attitude and contract would destroy the wizards for year.

the way i see it is there would have to be a 1st round pick included, if u compare the players in this deal:

arenas > tinsley + 1st rounder
JO maybe slightly better than jamison, maybe equal

i think this is a fair trade myself....

JO is 29 years old. Are you saying that Gilbert has less then 4 years before he's over the hill? Are you saying that Jamison is 2 years past over the hill?

Also, JO's attitude would be fine. Let's not make untrue statements. If you don't like the deal, there are many other reasons, such as you feel that Arenas will re-sign, thus meaning you have a better package for a deal, or that you'd rather not take on Jamaal Tinsley's salary. Both are very good reasons.

As for the Pacers, I think I would agree that this is a salary dump as Arenas is likely to not re-sign in Indy. If there's even a chance he would, I would have to think about it, and Indy would have to give much more. But, if he's gone, I'm not giving up what might be a lotto pick just to dump JO and Tinsley's salaries.

As a Wizards fan, I wouldn't trade Jamison straight up for JO. Jamison is arguably the better player right now. Even if he isn't, I'd rather pay Jamison $32M over the next 3 years than pay JO $63M over the next 3 years. (I'm assuming Jamison resigns for something in the $8M per year range.)

The rest of this deal amounts to Arenas for Tinsley + 1st round pick; which is laughable.

Of course they would. Arenas is better than that package alone.

^Well obviously, IND has 3 or 4 contracts I wouldn't touch, which drags down the "value" of the team. but if your trying to say you wouldn't trade Arenas for JO,Granger,Foster,Shawne Williams, and Ike Diogu, all VERY good players, or players with alot of potential, I really dont know what to say.

As to the OP, ewwww.

I dont want Tinsley ANYWHERE near my PG position.

JO is GREAT, but we cannot afford to pay him 20 mil, and Tinsley his deal and hope to make ANY noise.

WAS passes, and as others before me have posted, pretty easily.
