Why not a change of scenery? You might as well get something while you can instead of nothing... Gooden isn't a franchise player but he is a useful one if used right...

No, they aren't. "Just letting him expire"? Gooden expires the same year, so the finances are the same, and this way you get a pick too. If you think you're better off trying to get more value, that's fine...but just "letting him expire" is not better.

Thats not the deal I was talking about. the OP said he did not want to give Gooden up, and I meant if the Kings dont get Gooden or Varejao I'd rather let him expire.

Your argument is weak again, by holding onto Bibby we get his production for another 1.5 years. That's not nothing...Bibby's production in that amount time + expiring then > than your Cavs package during that time and going forward.

The addition of a 1st round pick very well might get it done now then.

Not on the Cavs part it won't

Thus no deal, and I don't see Petrie budging at this point. THe Kings very well could make a playoff push this 2nd half of the season with Artest/Bibby returning later this week

Could very well? WTF? Since when is bibby steve nash?

Which 3 of these teams are the kings going to overtake: NO, Den, GS, Utah and Houston?

The kings are closer to the first pick than they are the 8th seed.

Okay...whatever, I hope the Kings keep their main guys and bridge the gap here the remainder of the season.

Well a package of Drew Gooden, Ira Newble and Damon Jones almost got it done over the summer, so...

And a deal of "anything but LeBron" didn't, so......

Might want to take a look at the standings, the Kings rip off a few in a row and they are right back in it. Unfortunately that shouldn't be where they are heading IMO so it kind of scares me a little. We could use at least one more year of suckitude to get another nice draft pick.
