Bragnani isn't exactly that great, so this would be a good trade for Toronto. As for his issues for respecting authority... he played under Billy Donovan, so he certainly knows HOW to respect authority.

Noah averages 7.1 fouls per 48. The typical game, he could play 41 minutes at that rate. Realistically, his fouls would not prevent him from playing 30 minutes per game, regularly. Beyond that, fouls are taken into account in PER.

Fouling goes far beyond "how many minutes" a guy can play. Most importantly, if you have a guy comitting 7 fouls per 48 you have a pretty dran good indicator that the guy isnt playing smart basketball out there. I dont care who you are going up against, there arent 7 smart fouls for one guy to make in a game.

Second, when you have a foul machine like Noah out there you are very liable to get the other team into the bonus in the first few minutes of a quarter, which can kill any team.

Yes we all know Noah had a steller collage career and all that but that dosn't really mean that he will be a great talent look at Araujo for example not comparing Araujo to Noah in anyway. Bargnani brings alot more then Noah with Bargnani being the better passer/playmaker and is alot better on offense.

You do realize that Bargnani is the only player to collect 10+ fouls in the summer league right? He's not exactly a smart player with that regard himself you know. Both Bargnani and Noah are still very very "raw" and have lots of potential but I don't see Toronto wanting to trade Bargnani for Noah as the deal stands Noah and Thabo maybe but not 1 for 1.

You realize that AB averages 6.2PF per 48 right? I can pretty well say that Noah gets a number of fouls because of his defensive aggressiveness. What is AB's excuse? You guys are making a huge deal out of 0.9 personal fouls per 48 minutes played.

I was more reffering to the defense of any player that fouls a lot, not specifically attacking Noah (though he fits the category). You simply cant argue that player A can play 37 minutes on average before he fouls out, because a player that averages 6 fouls in less than 48 minutes is likely to hurt you team about as much as he helps it.

The Bulls would pass on this.

Noah has been far from a disappointment. If anything, he's been more than advertised. His only problem is the Bulls' inept coaching staff and horrible roster construction. If Ben Wallace wasn't on the team getting his 35 entitlement minutes per night, Noah would be playing at least 25 minutes per game and be thought of as perhaps the best rookie so far this season.

Noah fouls at a high rate because he never gives up on a play. Even if he's slow to rotate over he'll still go up and try to block a shot or make a play. If he's going to foul at a high rate then Cliff Levingston would much rather them be as a result of being aggressive. As he gains experience he'll be able to pick and choose his spots better while also knowing know to get in better position.

sad thing was, Toronto wanted to draft Noah if he was eligible in 06, but Bargnani came along and Noah stayed an extra year

Bargnani is garbage. Easily the softest 7 footer in the league.

Give me Noah.

It's times like this where I hate the fact that the high school rule was established in 06. Can u imagine Oden/Bosh at C/PF :o

This is definitely a new low for Bargnani though.

^Noah has shown he has the size and the ABILITY to play as a bigman in this league, Bargs, well, hes shown half of that.
