Not from NJ. But those players are quite valuable, and I think something could be arranged. If Lee and Zach are both leaving, though, you might consider a 3-way so that they could be split.

I have offered Collins+expirings for Randolph in the past, and I wouldn't add anything near face value for the Knicks if they were to include one of their youngsters. We simply don't need them.

In an "or" situation I think that Robinson & Balkman would probably return a contract ending in '09 + a small sweetener (2nd round pick possibly). Lee would probably garner an expiring.

But who honestly believes that Randolph is worth more now than when he was traded for a $30mil buyout, a 2nd round pick, & Frye? If anything he's worth less. And I just don't see many teams clamoring at the idea of paying nearly $50mil (over the next 3 years) just to get their hands on players like Lee, Balkman, or Robinson.

adding those youngsters doesn't change randolph's contract and there very few teams that would want that contract.

Starting point for Randolph is what the Knicks got him for this summer.

Terrible contract + mediocre prospect.

The Knicks apparently offered Randolph + Balkman (mediocre prospect) to the Bucks for Simmons + Gadz (terrible contracts) + Villanueva (mediocre prospect). The Bucks declined.

Randolph has a HUGE negative value at this point. Adding Lee and Balkman might make something possible, but Zach is a killer.
