The sad thing is, I think that the Bulls would not do this trade with the way Bargnani is playing.

Noahs problem is that he want to win too much. He would be an ideal Smitch player, and would hopefully instill a rebounding and defensive work ethic on this team.

Think about it, the Raps problem is not offence, its rebounding and defence....Bargnani will NEVER be the type of player who will offer significant contributions on the boards or on defence, although I think he can be adequate.

They want Andrea to perform a role he is not suited for at all. Chicago might be willing to play him purely as an offensive force where he could thrive.

Whereas Noah, being 2 months into his NBA career, has clearly reached his potential.

hmm..never said that.

However, Noah is a Chicago Bull. Ceteris paribus.

LOL...no but seriously.

If we're trading Bargnani, I want a bigger body than Noah. No way do I want to see Bosh/Noah in our front court.

Remember when Antonio Davis took us to the playoffs that one year. He would start, play mediocre, and then hit the bench. After sitting for a while, he would come back and dominate.

that was cool

I second this, I think teams might still look at Bargnani as being a guy who has potential and might take on a project to unleash it. Kinda like the Raptors are.

No. Only our players are allowed such largesse. Anyways:

Code: Select all

           TS%    RbR   Ast%   Stl%  Blk%   PER
Noah      .524   15.0  11.1    3.1   4.0   18.2
Bargnani  .485    8.7   7.1    0.6   1.8    9.1

According to those same stats, Calderon is the third best guard in the East.

I am NOT advocating getting Noah. I am just sleep-deprivation-stoned.

Noah actually has quite a bit of skill. He's already a top five passing big man, he rebounds the ball, can block shots, and he's got a great handle for a big man. Bargnani can shoot the three ball and... well, that's about it.

i'd rather have a player who has heart, can rebound and defend then a turnover prone, low IQ, heartless small forward in a centers body.
