Pretty simple deal:
Kurt Thomas for Shelden Williams and Tyronn Lue
Shelden Williams is getting fewer minutes than Lorenzen Wright at this point for the Hawks. I have absolutely no idea why he has fallen so out of favor with the Hawks because he was actually OK last season. The Hawks will likely make the playoffs this season so getting Kurt Thomas would be a big help. And they do it without giving up any pieces that they really value. Plus with the Hawks being under the cap this coming offseason it gives them an additional 3.4 million in caproom.
Seattle does it because they aren't going to win this season and Shelden Williams has more potential moving forward. He was a top 5 pick who had an OK rookie season (though he was drafted too high). Seattle just takes a flyer on Shelden to see if he can turn things around with a change of Scenery. Lue is involved only as cap filler. I would guess he would either be flipped to a playoff team or just bought out so he could sign with someone else. He is just an expiring contract since Altanta would prefer that those minutes go to Acie Law. The trade would also work with Lo wright instead of Lue if the Hawks think they need to keep Lue around.

Iggy- Like I said Shelden isn't even ahead of Lorenzen Wright for the Hawks right now. I think its pretty likely they would prefer the caproom to having Shelden at this point. I was actually more high than most Hawk fans on Shelden coming into the season but he has just gotten buried on the bench. Here are his number of minutes the past 5 games (no injury problems)
