Wondering if Chi would give up Ty to get rid of Ben... Thoughts?

As a Raptor fan, I cringe at the thought of having the shell of Big Ben on our team, but even then I recognize that this collection of spare parts isn't worth it for the Bulls. There's little significant salary relief -- Wallace's deal is only one year longer than Rasho's, and it's even a year shorter than Kapono's.

Dude its trades like these that give TO fans a bad rep. The Bulls aren't going to give up a top 5 lottery pick to move Wallace. Wallace isn't completely useless. He might be overpaid, but Wallace is still a solid player.

Oops... sorry Chi-town fans, thought you wanted out of Ben's contract badly enough, and were disappointed enough in Ty, to maybe consider.

Ah well.

Well, if you could get them expirings a Wallace/TT for expirings deal might work.

But a bunch of role players with pretty lengthy contracts themselves won't cut it.

i know TT was a lottery pick and all but seriously, what's he shown? An ability to leap and dunk? yes. what else? nothing comes to my mind.

Well said this also dosn't help them as they have Deng and Nocioni who are good spot up three point shooters. Kopono would battle both Gordon and Thabo for mins and would be a expensive backup spotup shooter something I doubt they would want.

Ben Wallace's deal maybe be ulgy but I am sure they would rather stick it out with Thomas then move a bluechip prospect with him for nothing that helps.

If they were under the cap this year and wanted a run at Arenas then I could understand but they are not. Dixon wouldn't get any mins there and I think would be a destraction to their team.

Toronto would have a great core after this with our depth charts looking like

PG: Calderon/Ford/Martin
SG: Parker/Delfino/
SF: Moon/Thomas/Graham
PF: Bosh/Humphries/Baston
C: Wallace/Bargnani/Humphries

We would have some decient cap relief next year with Graham's, Baston's Parker's and Garbo's expiring deals and then in 2 years have Wallace's massive $15 million come off that could also be a great bargin chip in a trade for a player to put us over the top.
