Bibby for Camby straight up

Post#1 » by Rasheed36 » Sat Jan 19, 2008 5:12 am

Sac trades- Mike Bibby
Sac Receives- Marcus Camby

Den trades- Marcus Camby
Den Receives- Mike Bibby

Sac- Get a defensive big that fills their needs and expires with their other long term deals. Artest and Camby 2 former DPOY would shut teams down up and down the court.

C- Camby/Hawes
PF- Miller/Moore
SF- Artest/Garcia
SG-Martin/Salmons
PG- Udrih/Douby

Den- Get their playmaker PG that is capable of putting up 20 any night if AI and Melo aren't playing well. This allows AI to move to his more natural position SG.

C- Nene/Hunter
PF- Martin/Najera
SF- Melo//Kleiza
SG- AI/JR
PG- Bibby/Carter

Camby is probably too valuable for the Nuggets.

It's an interesting idea, and I think if Sacramento was going in a different direction than most of us think they are they might consider it, but I don't see it happening.

A Bibby/AI/Anthony combo will be the BEST offensive trio in the NBA IMO...(Could drop 80 points in any given night) But looking at the defensive view...yeah...not pretty...(Even though, Bibby IMPROVED his defense)

LOL at the Kings maybe being interested...

If they were offered Camby for Bibby, the Maloof Brothers would personally help Bibby pack his bags...

Camby isn't a rebuilding piece and based on some of the things that Petrie has said it seems like the Kings brass seems more committed to rebuilding. They're still patient about it, but I think it's clear they're fully in that camp.

Nuggets PF/C after deal: Najera, K-mart, Nene, Hunter (if Karl ever plays him).

No way Denver does this. It leaves them way too thin up front. Hunter is coming back from an injury, Najera is playing hurt, K-mart has been solid, and Nene is somewhat unknown at this point.

So doesn't matter if this is great value for Camby (I think it isn't), it won't happen.

makes no sense for denver. they'd be giving up their most valuable big man/player and get a pg that they don't really need. i'd think denver would much rather move ai to the point than trade camby away.

Even if your rebuilding, Camby could fetch more than Bibby.

I just got beat to death in a thread by Sacramento fans who swore up and down the Kings are not rebuilding. They were just waiting to get healthy and make the playoffs.

Bingo. We cream our collective pants at this offer.

Whether or not the Kings are rebuilding is up in the air. I think we are looking to rebuild, but with the attitude that we're not looking to trade any of our guys no matter what, and that we'll just get the best value we can. Instead, we're looking to rebuild with trades and thus holding out for maximum value. That's my opinion, from what I can tell of the situation. I think Petrie would rather primarily rebuild through trades for proven talent than through the draft.
