You would have to take out Marvin Williams for Atlanta and David Lee from New York.

Then, you'd have to take out the Kings, too.

Yeah there would be no way the Kings would move Artest to NYK w/o him. However the Hawks may have some other players the Kings would consider. I also think taking on Speedy should allow for something more.

Depends. If you're bringing a high-quality SF back, you can't move one otherwise there's still a minutes crunch with Salmons.

Why would the Knicks trade for Artest, he seems perfectly fine opting out and going to New York for the MLE.

Doesn't Speedy Claxton have about as bad a contract as Kenny Thomas?

Artest signing for the MLE is about as likely as Ron Paul winning the Presidency, otherwise known as highly unlikely.

I agree with that completely, but in this we are bringing back Marvin Williams who I think is going to turn into a great player.

Any idea what kind of money he would command? Also if you traded for him would you have his Bird Rights? If, then I could see you guys making this trade.

I think he has two years left. So it would be one less year. Also if we are looking at the 09 offseason to target freeagents then we would have his contract off by then. Also we could then look at moving Bibby for exp contracts.

You cant look at that at point production at all. You have to look at the players you are getting back and in a trade like this we would be getting back some young players; Lee, Williams, and Williams, which for me would be a bright future with who we are giving up.

Maybe a good trade in NBA Live, but too big to be realistic in real life...

Yeah I would agree with that. I guess you could look at The Kings/NYK as being almost a separate trade.
