You want to give Telfair a chance?
He's young, very quick, and will pass the ball. 5.8 APG to 2.05. Maybe best of all, he's not a commitment. If he does well, you offer him a qualifying offer. If Law develops fast, you simply get rid of Telfair for free by not offering him a contract.
Atlanta's looking for a PG

And now we see what happens when you pass on point guards every year.
The Raptors are now seeing what happens when you pass on swingmen every year.
Is Horford better than Conley?

Other than the not-gonna-happen Calderon offers, none of the PGs in this thread are any better than what they currently have. Starting Telfair? Really?
pja123 had a deal some time ago where the Hawks got Cassell for not much...that seemed a more reasonable scenario.
(If Shelden is available, the Jazz are interested, but don't have a good PG to give either. Perhaps in a 3-way.)

Not really good ones, nor should LAC expect any (from the Hawks or anyone else). The Hawks have some expirings (so LA takes back no salary) and some lower-tier young guys (Salim Stoudamire?), which should be more than enough, IMHO.

Andre Miller is the guy that the Hawks should trade for as long as the Hawks aren't planning on making a big signing in FA. Cassell could probably be had for Lue, Wright, Salim, and a second round pick. (I don't think anyone would give up a first for him) Maybe something based around Lue for Duhon is another possiblity.
