Luke Ridnour
Wally szcerbiak
Kurt thomas
Robert Swift

for

Stephon Marbury, Fred JOnes, Malik Rose, Mardy Collins, and Randoplh Morris

Why for seattle: They keep saying they want cap space and prospects.
Marbury would never even put the uni on. Let him run away with his 20 or so million next year(The knicks should pick up the tab for the rest of the year)
Fred jones expires this year and malik expires next year. Neither one of those guys can be bad for a team. a good veteran presence for all the young guys on that team.

Give them prospects for a PG and PF both of whom may never be stars but are solid role players.(maybe)

Why for NY: NY needs people who unerstand basketball while not killing our cap. Wally can make shots and is from NY. Luke knows how to pass the ball and play minor defense, which the knickls sorely lack. Kurt thomas can play D but hes really just an expiring contract.(We can use those) Release Agent ugly red head freak and let him sign back in seattle. he is just a filler. (Wally expires the same time as stephon marbury, so its basically a wash, or a cure for cancer)

+1 for actually making a trade work with a BYC player. Either way though I dont see why either team would consider this deal. Ridnour is not a point guard I want to run a team personally. Id welcome Thomas back easily, wish we never traded him away to being with. Wally is about as one dimensional as they come and do the Sonics still like Swift?

Thought I dont see the incentive for the Sonics. Marbury would probably not be bought out, thus leading to more problems. Rose would provide everything Thomas gives them. Collins/Morris is nothing special, nor an incentive at all. Jones is an expiring sure but Thomas and Swift are as well.
Jazz: Under reconstruction, we'll be back.

I agree. It's not like a player who makes around $8mil who takes a $5mil buyout since he knows he can get another contract for $3mil.

Marbury may be a headcase but there's no way he gives up over $20mil in some sort of buyout.

And I'm sure the Seattle Gm isn't going to eat that much in a buyout and be left with no talent to show for it. Quite simply, this trade would never happen.
