Arroyo is filler.
Ford is better then filler + filler.
Ford is better then Calderon as well (as a starter before his injury, he was putting up 15/8 and was the only player worth a damn on our team as Bosh was still struggling with his knee/foot problems).
Oh, he put up that 15/8 in 29 minutes a game. Calderon needs 40 to put up what? 12/9? And it's been a lot easier for him since Bosh has been healthy and scoring at will. And the scoring has little to do with the playmaking here. You just dump it down to Bosh on an ISO, and he scores or gets to the line. The easiest assist you're gonna make. Or, Bosh gets doubled, quickly passes it out to Calderon who makes one easy pass along the perimeter to the open guy.
Honestly, his game is safe, which I like, but if the open guy isn't hitting his shots, Calderon essentially becomes useless.

Jazzfan Bayamon can you rank PGs in the league right now...
I want to see where you rank PG that averages 14 and 6.8 (12th in the league and 12.6 a per 48m which is 6th in the league) and shoots over 48%.
I don't think you remember how well we did with TJ starting last year and our record with him this year was not bad considering Bosh missed games when TJ was playing.

Both Ridnour and Daniels are team oriented PGs. You usually don't see them chucking up shots like crazy (to the detriment of the team). BTW, if you're concerned about how Ford ranks among PGs, why not post a thread in the Gen or player comparison boards?? He's definately NOT top 10, so when saying among the top, I really don't know where you're getting at.

See thats where you have no idea what you are talking about when you say "detriment of the team". It's very clear to people that watched Raptors last year and this year that you have not.
He is not top now since he has been injured but he is way ahead of Ridnour and Daniels. And 20 spots above garbage Arroyo. You have to remember Arroyo played for the Raptors, we know how bad he is. Go ahead and start ranking PGs thread where ever you want and we'll see where people rank Ford.

LOL @ YOU
Is Ford your home boy or something?? You're all pissed at me because I've said Ford isn't as good as you think, and then you get all touchy and start calling Arroyo garbage to try to tick me off. BTW, your still preatty stupid because then you say Ford is 20 spots above, which would either make Arroyo a TOP backup PG (assuiming Ford is in those top 10 spots, +20 is around 30, see number of NBA teams. For Arroyo to be lower than that, that would make Ford *gasp* lower than top 10!!! Ohhh, nooo....). And BTW, I really don't care much for Arroyo now since it's preatty clear where he's at and where he'll be.
BTW, I don't have a problem rating Ford... I think he is CLEARLY NOT TOP 10. Not even close. Of the list I put, who does he replace as a top 10 PG??? And I'm sorry if me taking Ridnour and Daniels over that garbage that is T.J. Ford get's your pants wet.

Lets say Ford is #15 which would make Arroyo 35. Thats pretty good for Arroyo, because he is garbage.
Player Efficiency Rating - Point Guard
I'm not saying Arroyo is garbage to tick you off, i'm saying that because it is true. We have seen him play.
You can pick Ridnour or Daniels over Ford all you want, all it proves is that you either have not seen either play or done too much drugs. Thats the way world work, just because one crazy nut is going out screaming total nonsense on the street , it really does not make it true. You know that by now though, so carry on.

Well, I think both Daniels and Ridnour are more solid pass first PGs, and that to me is more valuable then a talented undersized shoot first PG that is TJ Ford. Of course, TJ isn't as bad as say, a Jameer Nelson, but when it comes to running a team, I take both Daniels and Ridnour (more Ridnour than Daniels because of age) over Ford. I mean, the Raps-Jazz game is the perfect example.

Calling Ford a shoot first point guard shows how little you've seen him play on the Raptors.
Ford averages 11.5 field goal attempts a game this season. Calderon averages 9.3. That is an extra 2 shots a game. To call that "shoot first" is so ridiculous that it barely deserves a response.
And Ford was averaging 15/8 before his first injury. He was 14/8 last year. His numbers dipped to 14/6.8 solely due to playing limited minutes when he was getting back into game shape after his injury.
As to the team playing better when he isn't on, I'd say leading the team to 47 wins last year, including being the sole reason we didn't tank when Bosh went down for 12 games says otherwise.
And like I said. It isn't Arroyo plus filler. Arroyo is filler. And not even good filler. He played for us. He sucks.
