TRADE 1:
Knicks/Bucks/Grizz
Trade ID: 4424123
Knicks trade:
1) Zach Randolph
2) David Lee
3) Malik Rose
4) Fred Jones
for:
1) Kyle Lowry
2) Hakim Warrick
3) Brian Cardinal
4) Charlie Villeneuva
5) Bobby Simmons
6) Dan Gadzuric
Bucks trade:
1) Simmons
2) Charlie Villueneva
3) Gadzuric
for:
1) Randolph
2) Fred Jones
Memphis trades:
1) Lowry
2) Warrick
3) Cardinal
for:
1) Malik Rose
2) David Lee
NEW LINEUPS (Memphis and Bucks)
Memphis:
PG: Conley/Stoudamire
SG: Miller/Navarro
SF: Gay/Miller
PF: Gasol/Lee
C: Darko/Swift
Bucks:
PG: Williams/Bell
SG: Redd/Jones
SF: Yi/Mason
PF: Randolph/Ruffin
C: Bogut/Voskuhl
WHy for Bucks?
1) Get a productive PF while deploying crap (Simmons and Gadzuric) and a player who's blocking Yi (Charlie V)
Why for Memphis?
1) Lee would be an excellent fit for the run & gun
2) Giving up Lowry hurts, but he's blocked by Conley anyways.
TRADE 2:
Knicks trade:
1) Eddie Curry
2) Jared Jefferies
for:
1) Corey Maggette
2) Mark Blount
3) Aaron Williams
Miami trades:
1) Jason Williams
2) Mark Blount
3) Daequan Cook
for:
1) Eddie Curry
2) Jared Jefferies
Clippers trade:
1) Corey Maggette
2) Aaron Williams
for:
1) Daquan Cook
2) Jason Williams
NEW LINEUPS:
Miami:
PG: Quinn/Parker
SG: Wade/Davis
SF: Wright/Jefferies
PF: Haslem/Barron
C: Shaq/Curry
NEW LINEUPS:
Clippers:
PG: Cassell/Dickau
SG: Mobely/Cook
SF: Thornthon/Ross
PF: Brand/Thomas
C: Kaman/Davis
Why for Heat?
1) They have to give up Cook, but with Wade and Davis, SG isn't a problem. Riley might be the only guy in the NBA to shape up Curry. They give up Blount's worthless contract and get a potential all-star for nothing in reality. They build for next year. Jefferies is the all-court player who'd floruish with Riley.
Why for Clippers?
1) Maggette is gone after this year anyways. With Jason WIlliams's expiring deal, and getting Cook, they have their longterm SG of the future.
TRADE 3: (Knicks/Magic/GSW)
Knicks trade:
1) Balkman
2) Mardy Collins
for:
1) Reddick
Magic trade:
1) Reddick
2) Arroyo
for:
1) CJ Watson
2) Balkman
3) Collins
GSW trades:
1) CJ Watson
for:
1) Arroyo
KNICKS MOVES:
1) Immediate buyout for the following: Aaron Williams, Jerome James
NEW LINEUP:
PG: Lowry/Robinson
SG: Crawford/Reddick
SF: Maggette/Chandler
PF: Villeuneva/Warrick
C: Gadzuric/Morris
BANISHED TO THE BENCH:
11th man: Simmons
12th man: QRICH
13th man: Cardinal
14th man: Marbury
15th man: Blount
WHY FOR THESE MOVES?
1) Lowry is a dynamite talent who is a triple double threat. He'd be loved by the garden and is a pass first PG. Giving up Lee sucks, but getting an nba-ready starting PG in Lowry is a must.
2) The Knicks save money through these deals. Randolph's deal and Curry's deals are shaved by a year since every player they get back is one year shorter save Simmons (who makes less than Curry or Randolph)
3) Maggette would be an excellent first option for the Knicks.
4) Charlie Villueneva can score in this league. With set minutes, he'll produce.
5) They get younger, faster, stronger, and better through these deals.

I'm not sure MEM needs Lee, but they are very committed to Conley AND Lowry in the future. If you cut them out, MIL might do this:
Randolph, Rose and Jones for Simmons, Gadzuric, Bell and Villanueva (Trade ID #4424299)
But Zach would probably hinder Yi's development more than Charlie; I never understood that rumor.
Also, yeah, MIA probably wouldn't do their deal.
I don't really understand Trade #3. JJ is a good player in a bad situation with SVG, but I'm not sure he's worth either of the players leaving NYK, right now. Also, did ORL just sign CJ Watson from the D-League or something? I didn't know he was on their roster...

The Bucks/Knicks trade rumour has been out there for a couple of weeks. Supposedly quashed by the Bucks owner, and I don't think he's one to change his mind once it's made up. But that rumoured trade was CV/Simmons/Gadz for Randolph/Balkman. So if the Bucks weren't going to do that, then there's no point mentioning the same Bucks players for Randolph/Jones.

The 2nd trade is pretty bad for Miami - they trade away a huge expiring, a young prospect they like a lot, and a bad contract for an even worse contract in Jeffries and Curry, who wouldn't even make much sense for them besides teaming up with Shaq to form the fattest Center duo since Curry/Jerome James.
The 3rd one is awful for New York - they trade away two solid young players for a guy who hasn't proven anything in the league so far. I'd take Balkman over Redick without even having to think about it.
The 1st one isn't too far off value wise I'd say, but it definitely wouldn't improve the Knicks, either.

In the 1st trade the Knicks give up Lee and we get back a bunch of players not nearly as good. Charlie V can't rebound or play D, Warrick can't rebound or shoot, Lowry? we have Nate Robinson. We give expirings in Jones and Rose and take back crap like Simmons and Gadz? Just to get rid of a 20 and 10 pf? Ridiculous

TRADE 1:
Knicks/Bucks/Grizz
Trade ID: 4424123
Knicks trade:
1) Zach Randolph
2) David Lee
3) Malik Rose
4) Fred Jones
for:
1) Kyle Lowry
2) Hakim Warrick
3) Brian Cardinal
4) Charlie Villeneuva
5) Bobby Simmons
6) Dan Gadzuric
This deal sucks for NY. Warrick is nothing special and Lowry is so good the Grizzlies drafted another point guard. Lowry might be better than I think but if the Knicks are going to gut their team they would be doing it to ensure they get Derrick Rose. Since Lowry is the best thing about this deal for them and Warrick is nothing special the Knicks are trading an expiring contract, a deal that expires next, year, Zach Randolph and David Lee for 3 terrible contracts a bust and 2 young players who are nothing special. No thanks.
TRADE 2:
Knicks trade:
1) Eddie Curry
2) Jared Jefferies
for:
1) Corey Maggette
2) Mark Blount
3) Aaron Williams
The best thing about this deal is that we give up Jeffries but any benefits of that move is largely eliminated considering we take on Blount. I would never do a deal of Curry for Maggette because we would have no centers worth playing just to aquire another scoring swing man. Horrible idea.
TRADE 3: (Knicks/Magic/GSW)
Knicks trade:
1) Balkman
2) Mardy Collins
for:
1) Reddick
This deal is beyond ghastly. Do you hate the Knicks that much?
NEW LINEUP:
PG: Lowry/Robinson
SG: Crawford/Reddick
SF: Maggette/Chandler
PF: Villeuneva/Warrick
C: Gadzuric/Morris
BANISHED TO THE BENCH:
11th man: Simmons
12th man: QRICH
13th man: Cardinal
14th man: Marbury
15th man: Blount
Wow, you've managed to make the team worse now, worse for the future and I won't bother doing the math but possibly in worse position financially as well. Maybe contracts of Randolph and Curry might offset much of the crap the Knicks bring in but at least those players are useful. Most of the contracts we get back are so bad that even you banish 3 of them to the end of the bench.
WHY FOR THESE MOVES?
1) Lowry is a dynamite talent who is a triple double threat. He'd be loved by the garden and is a pass first PG. Giving up Lee sucks, but getting an nba-ready starting PG in Lowry is a must.

4) Charlie Villueneva can score in this league. With set minutes, he'll produce.
5) They get younger, faster, stronger, and better through these deals.
1.Derrick Rose
2.If they save any money its negligable. Saving a couple bucks isn't worth mentioning.
3.But we are forced to give Gadzuric and Morris big minutes at center to do it.
4. Villueneva is a bust.
5.They get worse in every way shape or form for years to come.
