Pacers receive: Ben Gordon, Tyrus Thomas, Andres Nocioni, Marcus Williams, Jamaal Magloire, Jason Collins

Pacers:
C: Foster/Murphy
PF: T.Thomas/Diogu
SF: Granger/Nocioni
SG: Gordon/Williams
PG: Tinsley/Williams
***Pacers dump two big contracts here and get back some nice young pieces... theyre in rebuild mode trading JO so no need to bring Vince in.

Bulls trade: Ben Gordon, Tyrus Thomas, Andres Nocioni
Bulls receive: Vince Carter, Antoine Wright

Bulls:
C: Wallace/Gray
PF: J.Smith/Noah
SF: Deng/Wright
SG: Carter/Thabo
PG: Hinrich/Duhon
*** If you cant have Kobe might as well get the next best thing at a MJ replacement in Vinsanity... Dont have to overpay Gordon now and let Thomas actually go get some playing time elsewhere.

Nets trade: Vince Carter, Jason Collins, Jamaal Magloire, Antoine Wright, Marcus Williams
Nets receive: Jermaine O'Neal, Mike Dunleavy, Travis Diener

*** Nets reshape here for the playoff run... I personally think they should move RJ for a big man opposed to Vince but all the rumors lately hint Vince would be first to go. Dunleavy isnt a horrible replacement for Vince and they get their big man in JO.

I'm a Ben Gordon fan and I think adding Thomas/Nocioni only adds solid depth to the Pacers going forward. I think JO's time in Indy was great, productive, made some noise in the playoffs...that being said, it's over, cut your ties and move on, it'll be better for both parties.

If Joe Smith can keep up his level of play and VC can elevate his play under Jordan's Championship banners then the Bulls will look VERY good for moving Gordon/Thomas/Nocioni. VC has all the ability in the world, if he can harness it, he can lead the Bulls to the Finals.

VC isn't the type of guy that the Nets need to lead them to a Championship. They have Kidd, a hall of fame/championship caliber point guard, and they have an explosive wing in Richard Jefferson, if Jermaine O'Neal can stay healthy then the Nets are also vastly improve their defense.

Nice overall trade. I think all 3 teams can live with that. Bulls still need an extra big man though.

I don't mind the trade overall, but I am tired of seeing the Marcus-Diener throw-in to every NJ-IND deal. Thorn might take this, but I wouldn't unless the PG swap was removed.

The Bulls don't do this. They become a worse Nets team. They need to use those assets to land a guy like Gasol, Brand etc.

The team is much closer to rebuilding than looking for that last piece for a championship. VC is older than all three guys going out.

In the end, this would create a team with no shot of being competitive and several less assets to improve. It would lock the team into 35-45 wins for 2-3 years before completely falling apart and starting almost from scratch.

Also, the Pacers won't get that much for O'Neal; he's worth less than what most people think (or at least should be), ICLO.

I also say no for the Bulls, but my over-riding white-hot burning hate for Vince Carter and his obscene waste of God-given natural ability for what he is compared to what he could be might have something to do with it.

I like the general outline for each team. It seems the nets are just in need of a shakeup. They have the talent but it doesn't seem the current group of players are going to ever take it to the next level. Chicago also needs a go-to-guy that the younger stars can lean on. So I'd tweak the trade to

IND<--Gordan,Thomas, Nocioni, Kristic, Magloire, Collins, Smith
IND-->O'Neal, Foster, Diogu, Dunleavy, Owens, Graham, Harrison

NJN<--O'Neal, Dunleavy, Owens, Harrison
NJN-->Carter, Magloire, Collins, Krstic

CHI<--Carter, Diogu, Foster, Graham
CHI-->Thomas, Nocioni, Gordan, Smith

I think this balances out the trade a bit more. NJ keeps depth at the frontcourt with Harrison, Diogu gives CHI a low-post scorer. I think the best part of the original trade is that NJ gets Mike Dunleavy who has proven that in the right environment, he can be a key piece to a winning team.
