Sorry but this has been discussed a lot. Bargnani's value has slipped extremely far. There is no evidence that he will be anything at all in the NBA. I know he is young, a seven footer, etc. but there is no way he is worth a decent starting center. I'd rather consider Noah, Kristic, Diop or Perkins than Barnani right now.

Wow, they made you a mod? lmbo

Anyway, Dalembert may block 3 shots a game, but he probably gets called for 2-3 goaltending violations as well.

Regardless, you're not getting an 11/10/3 center for just a small expiring and a larger expiring a year from now.

bballin wrote:Stats are not everything, ever since he has been in Philly fans from around the NBA have had just as much negative things to say about him as positive. Im sure most philly fans would of said the same thing about Korver for Giricek, but it happened because Stefanski wants to build his own team and rid them of past bad contracts.

Dalmebert is no different and the reason they will not get full value is because he is overpaid and the reason he WILL be moved is because of this among many other reasons.

If not Toronto, Daly is heading out the door regardless

OK, let's try this again, even slower.

YOU. ARE. WRONG.

Yes, the fan base wasn't happy with Sammy in prior years. That is absolutely, positively irrelevant to the discussion, because as we've said time and time again, he's improved vastly this year, in all phases of the game.

Korver for Giricek would have pissed us off. But that's not what the trade was. It was Korver for Giricek and a first, AND (Please pay attention to this part) Korver was never considered to be a key component of the team. Dalembert is. I cannot emphasize this enough. We are NOT trading Sammy. Not for the $(*@ you're proposing, not for Bargnani and scrubs, not for anything the Raptors are willing to offer. Unless someone comes along with an offer that returns legitimate talent HE WILL NOT BE TRADED THIS YEAR.

First of all I am a mod for the Detroit Red Wings hockey forum if you must know.

2nd, Dalembert is turning into a great C in the league he held his own on a crappy team Canada team in the FIBA games. He's turning it over and looks to be on track to be a great defensive center in the league. Sure he may get called for a few goaltending violations but it shows to me that he never gives up on a play and plays with heart. Something the Raptors need on the defensive end. How many times have our players given up on a play and make Bosh fight for rebounds? Moon seems like the only one that would want to grab some boards.

The orignal is very onesided for the Raptors even if we threw in anybody but Calderon, Bosh, Bargnani, Ford or a first there is nothing the 76ers would want.

Usually, I'll criticize the Sixer fans for some outrageous/wacky ideas, but Daly is playing like a top 5 defensive C in the league, and he's flippin 4 years older than Bargnani; this isn't a a dump of an old declining C here. Dalembert is probably gonna go up from here.

I only saw Dalembert play twice, and Bynum owned him both times.....but then again Bynum was playing very well. Anyway, I would suggest that everybody defer to the 76ers fans as to whether or not they would dump him for cap space.

Very accurate observation. I watched those games & what it told me is that Bynum should be a star. Sammy is not that but he has become a valuable & good player.
