Everything I keep hearing on Gooden is that he's a lousy defender.

Any guy that most of us have never heard of probably isn't the first choice.

Maybe so, but regardless, Cisco is worth more than Bass easily.

Douby has more value than Brandon bass...he's about on par with a Justin Williams on the Kings.

Bass is a comparable player to Paul Millsap, who seems to have quite a bit of value around here. He's got an above average mid range jump shot, can attack the rim, is a good rebounder (his numbers are only lower because he plays with Damp/Diop and Millsap plays with Okur), and is quick enough to guard perimeter players when switched on to them.

Douby has more value than Brandon bass...he's about on par with a Justin Williams on the Kings.

 An undersized 2 who can't shoot is worth more than Bass?

Maybe he doesn't have enough value for Garcia, but he doesn't suck.

Lol no he can't. Artest won't ever be a Piston. And we already have Tayshaun.

I only said they don't want nor need Randolph.

My opinion is if the Kings are making a run for the playoffs (God I hope not) then their current roster is the best they're gonna get. I don't think they'll be able to significantly upgrade the PF position based on chemistry and team needs without sacrificing a significant piece.

Millsap >> Bass...bass is a nice player, but so is Justin Williams. Douby's gonna be a VERY good player in this league, better than Bass. Take that to the bank.

It was just wishful thinkin that Artest would become a Piston... he's exactly the kind of hardnosed defender, tough a$$ player we need to remotivate the guys on our squad and he's a million times the player tayshaun is... he's also a million times more likely to shoot someone at during the offseason, but still... he'd be a nice fit...

There just really isn't anybody out there to be honest that is either a) available or b) available for the right price.

I can't believe how underrated Zach Randolph is on this board! I think that deal for he and Balkman isn't too bad if the Kings were targeting Randolph.

The fact is, the Kings are going to have to draft a PF, or trade for young, unknown that they hope can develop, JO style. One guy I wanted them to go after in the offseason was Andray Blatche. He would fit perfectly into the Kings passing system.

Out of all the guys here the only one I like is Brandon Bass actually. He's young and has serious game. He's only 22 and putting up like 8/5 and almost a block in 20 minutes. In 30 on a team where he gets more touches he could probably get better stats. He is wayyyyyyyyyyy underrated on these boards. I'm not sure if I'd trade Garcia for him but I'd like him on this team for sure. He's way better than any PF we have.
