Bulls/Bucks/Knicks Semi Blockbuster!

Post#1 » by N.O.R.E. » Thu Jan 24, 2008 11:40 am

Bulls Trade: Nocioni, Duhon, Wallace, VK, 2nd
Receive: Villanueva, Simmons, Marbury (bought out)

Noah/Gray
Smith/TT/Villanueva
Deng/Villanueva
BG/Simmons
Hinrich/Thabo

The Bulls cut a lot of salary and rid themselves of Wallace, who has been nothing but a disappointment and a waste of money.

Bucks Trade: Villanueva, Mo Williams, Simmons, Gadz
Receive: Nocioni, Zach, Duhon, VK

Bogut/Yi/Voskuhl
Zach/Yi/Nocioni/Ruffin
Nocioni/Mason/Noel/VK
Redd/Mason/Bell
Duhon/Bell/Ivey

The Bucks get a go-to low-post scorer that rebounds, a gritty hustler in Nocioni and a pass 1st PG in Duhon.

Knicks Trade: Zach, Marbury
Receive: Mo Williams, Ben Wallace, Gadz, 2nd

Curry/Gadz/Morris
Wallace/Lee/Rose
Balkman/Q-Rich/Chandler
JC/Nate/Jones
Mo/Collins

The Knicks get their new starting PG, a defensive big in BW, an athletic big in Gadz and a 2nd rounder for a player who hasn't fit in and a player that will never play for them again.

Isn't chicago rumored to be looking for cap space if they trade nocioni though? They would like it I imagine to resign gordon and deng.

This would give them Marbury, who yeah i guess they could buy out, but simmons is a bad contract. CV they would have to throw some money at in a year (someone will overpay for him).

This makes sense for the Bulls because they ditch Wallace AND Nocioni's contracts. Simmons has a shorter term deal and Marbury's expires after next season. Villanueva is needed for depth and could be retained IMO.

So basically, for Milwaukee it's the same rumor they've already turned down except they don't get Balkman and trade Mo Williams for Andres Nocioni?

Don't see it happening.
