The Bulls need a legit 6'5" shooting guard who is a legit scorer and all-star. A backcourt of Gordon and Allen would be deadly. Also allen is not falling apart he is just having a hard time adjusting to being the third wheel. He is playing the best defense of his career at age 32.

I no I am a Celts fan and if it aint broke dont fix it but I think it woulod work out great. It would add a better balance and depth to the Celts and add veteran leadership and an allstar to the bulls.
Perkins/Big Baby
KG/Joe Smith
PP/Posey
Tony Allen/House
Rondo/Hinrich
That is a real balanced lineup.

Doesn't make sense for either team.
For the Bulls, we're more than just Ray Allen away from having a legit shot at coming out of the East; not with the way we're playing and the way other teams are (Detroit and Boston namely). Might as well keep the younger, cheaper player (Hinrich) and the '09 expiring deal (Smith) and maintain some flexibility.
For the Celtics, given your lineup projection, Hinrich and Smith would both be coming off the bench. You want to trade one of your stars for two bench players? You said yourself that Allen is playing the best defense of his career and we all know he's good for 20 a night if you ask him to; what's the problem?
