Memphis-OKC trade?
Darko for Chris Wilcox. Kinda logical. Anyone thinks it is too logical to happen, let me know.

Memphis, who is cheap and rebuilding, has a young PF in Darrell Arthur and I doubt that they
want Wilcox to hinder his growth. Also, I doubt Darko would be receptive to moving to
cowboy country.

Ya, & didn't the Griz just sign that Iranian big? Besides, no way Presti wants anything to do with Darko & his contract.

You're right, "It's not up to Darko" but have you ever heard of player's who are
unhappy in their surroundings purposely playing like crap?

Re: Memphis-OKC trade?
I wasn't trying to send it to the Trade Forum because it would get lost in the mix. Wilcox's contract is expiring this year. Pretty valueble to Memphis, especially since they could slide him over to the 5 in some spots. For OKC, Darko is a serviceable 5. Can score, would set good picks for Durant. Still only 23. Better than Collison playing the 5 a ****.
Both teams will suck, but at least it could work out a little for both teams.

If Darko wants another contract he won't play like crap. Check that, he will play like crap but it won't be because he's unhappy in his surroundings.

Re: Memphis-OKC trade?
I see both Memphis and OKC as competing against each other this year not for wins, but for cap space and draft position. You could flip a coin and decide which will have the higher pick next June, but just for cap space purpose next summer I don't see OKC taking Milicic's extra year in exchange for Wilcox's expiring.
Neither team is going to be a contender and neither Darko or Wilcox is going to make an impact. Both teams part ways.
And I will dispute what Magee said about Milicic playing a ****ton better than Collison at the 5. The stats don't indicate anything of the sort at all.

Re: Memphis-OKC trade?
I'd rather let Wilcox expire and get nothing in return than to take on Darkos contract.
But expand the deal deal like this and I would be all for it:
Wilcox, Wilkins, Sene
for
Darko, Crittenton, Warrick

Crittenton alone > 1 year rental of Chris Wilcox
No way the Grizzlies give up two young and promising prospects (may I add Darko to this statement ?) for a 1 year rental of Chris Wilcox.
If Memphis really wanted Wilcox they just would wait till next summer and sign him without losing any prospectin the process.
BTW if you replace Milicic with Jaric it´s a different Story: Jaric and Warrick for Wilcox it´s something the Grizzlies should like.
Regards.

^Its also something OKC shouldn't even consider.
Isn't Jaric's deal two years longer than Wilcox?

Re: Memphis-OKC trade?
What pumuki said. I think Wilcox will be on Memphis' radar next offseason, and I suppose they'd give up some value to try-before-you-buy, but probably not Darko, who is himself still in the text drive phase of his (very short, slightly too high) contract.
Something based around Jaric and good prospects, or expirings (Walker, Buckner) and mediocre prospects could work though.

Re: Memphis-OKC trade?
Radiohead, you can't be serious. Sene was green as grass last year(and the year before) and now has blown out his knee. No one knows if he ever will be back healthy let alone show he's anything more than a career 12th man. Wilkens is a player who even the most loyal Sonics fans have said should be traded at any cost.
So for the privilage of getting that talent Memphis gives up two good young players in Crittenton and Warrick? You should have just said no thanks to the original trade like most in here did.
