Two ORL/TOR trades

The Magic are not playing nearly as well this season as they did last season, and most blame the fact that Vince came in and Hedo went out.

On the flip side, Hedo has not been performing for Toronto, and most blame the fact that he is paired with PGs who take the ball out of his hands (Calderon and Jack) instead of a PG who is mostly a spot up shooter.

So here are 2 proposed trades to fix both teams' problems. I'm not suggesting that both trades could happen, it would be one or the other:


Trade #1:
Hedo Turkoglu + Marcus Banks
for
Vince Carter

I know, Vince to Toronto seems crazy, but it's been a long time since the problems, maybe both sides are ready to put the past away? Honestly, Hedo is probably hated every bit as much as Vince at the moment, due to his long contract and ineffective play. The Magic go back to last year's starting 5 (except with Pietrus replacing Lee in the starting lineup), and the Raptors get back a shorter contract in Vince. Banks is just salary filler (the Raps don't have big enough expirings to make it work, but Banks expires at the end of next year).


Trade #2:
Jose Calderon
for
Jameer Nelson

Hedo works well with Jameer, and the Raps have a good backup in Jack for whenever Jameer gets injured. The Magic are really stagnating on the offensive end, mostly because they have no playmaker (Hedo used to be their playmaker, Jameer is really more of an off-the-ball scorer), and Jose is an excellent playmaker who runs the P&R very, very well.

Hedo can't be traded back to Orlando, so #1 is no good. Doubt the Magic consider the second one, either.
