Wasn't sold on LaVine during the off season but now I'm gambling on LaVine's potential. I think he has grown as a decision maker and has shown flashes of much better effort defensively. He gets such a negative rap by certain posters and gets compared to Gerald Green and Jamal Crawford a lot, but I think his desire and work ethic is just on another level than those guys. He is the guy on the Wolves that could take their rebuild from really good to great if he keeps developing.

LaVine seems to have turned a corner in the last 2-3 weeks or so. I would agree that his highest ceiling is as a PG. Obviously, his value around the league hasn't caught up to his value to Wolves fans, which was as low as possible about a month ago. But, I've loved what I've seen in the last couple of weeks.

Zach LaVine is absolutely not a Point-Guard, I am stunned people think otherwise.

I take this deal and run.

Nerlens Noel and Hollis Thompson and Okc/gs pick for Gorgui Dieng and Zach Lavine and rights to Henk Norel done deal, as equal value as I can get it

plus you have Noel for Norel, who is 28 year old big man, coming off injury a perfect Hinke player

If we trading with sixers. I'd like to see us target okafor. Not Noel. Okafor/towns seems way more dynamic then Noel/towns. With the amount of bigs that sixers have. I'd try hard on draft day to add him.

But then again. I'd be offering that top five pick not named Simmons to a few teams. Looking for another core player. Not a rookie.

Today, the Sixers say no. A year from now? Who knows.

I'd pull the trigger on this...I've always been intrigued with Lavine.

Not even close for me. I am almost convinced that 76ers young talent gets underrated the most around here. This is borderline disrespectful.

I think Philly says no.

Noel has been pretty consistent with great defense and horrible offense.

Zach has been consistent by being inconsistent. His celing is higher, but im not sure he gets there playing being wiggins and rubio.

Lavine's potential is higher than people give him credit for. Last year he was just an athlete with no idea what he was doing, but you can see the progress day-by-day and by all accounts, he's a good kid who works harder than anyone on the Wolves. All that said, right now, Noel has a higher value, a year from now with the misfitting bigs the 76ers have and Lavine's progress, that could be different.

And he's not a true PG, he's not nearly as good as Wade, but that's the type of SG he would be if allowed more freedom.

LaVine for Noel straight up? No way.

LaVine, Dieng, and MIN 1st top 1 and 13-30 protected for Okafor and Stauskas? Yes.

I disagree that it's horrible but yeah I don't they'd consider this really. Noel's just a much harder find like someone else said, athletic combo guards without a clear discernable skill are far more common than rim-protecting bigs. Lavine probably does have the higher ceiling but a lower floor.
