Oh true, a Houston fan and a Lakers fan like it for Orlando. Plus the OP that makes 3. The majority of which aren't Raptors fans.

Go onto the second page.

That's where I got the Lakers fan. No Raptors fans said it was fair there.

Lol if you say so

I mean, if this is the offer yeah. If you want to make a good offer maybe not.

Im all for rebuttals, but magic fans are confident Ibaka gonna resign, just like 95% of people were confident durant was gonna resign, so theres no point.

I'm not sure what Durant has to do with the topic, unless you're trying to bait me for whatever reason? But I mean sure maybe he'd leave Toronto too. If you wanted him there you'd make a fair offer though.

It basically morphed into whether or not the Magic should look to trade Ibaka which is a different discussion.

Well, this is a conflict of interest. If Orlando moves AG, it will be for a win-now piece, which Toronto will not give up. Ross seems unneeded because of Fournier. These two teams don't make great trade partners because Ibaka is more valuable than what Toronto can offer, and the rest of Orlando's assets are young.

Nah no bait. Im comparing situations where both fanbases were extremely confident that the respective players would resign based on the comments the player makes. But in this case, Orlando already traded away a borderline allstar in Oladipo.

Ibaka leaving toronto would def be an option, but its a risk we're willing to take based on what we might be able to accomplish this season whereas orlando is the opposite. Plus losing Ross isnt equivalent in losing Oladipo

I think Toronto could get there theoretically...Ross + Poeltl + 2 firsts can't get Ibaka?

Maybe, again, I don't think these two teams work as trade partners.

I don't think anyone is a good trade partner in that case. Which, I guess is what Orlando fans have been saying lol.

Ross is shooting lights out this season and would give orlando a big boost in offense their looking for. Bebe has proven to be a great backup C. The raptors do this mainly to free up time for Norman Powell who is become a fan favorite but gets limited min due to depth chart.

I understand OKC asked for a lot in return for Ibaka from the raptors originally. But ibaka is a upcoming FA and has played fairly poorly/average up to date. Low chance of him returning to orlando. Value should be lower.

Ibaka playing great right now. as for "low chance" of returning, not sure where you are getting that from.

The biggest acquisition of the Orlando Magic’s 2016 offseason indicated on Monday that he has no plans to go elsewhere when he becomes an unrestricted free agent in 2017.

“I’m looking to stay here to play forever — for [as] many, many years as possible,” Serge Ibaka said during the Magic’s media day.
Beat me to it. The OP has not watched Ibaka play this season to make a comment like that. Ibaka has been our best player so far this season. Organization loves him and has every intention to sign him long term.

I know everyone in TOR would love to pair him up with JV, but as someone who has watched every game he has played in an Orlando uniform, Ibaka is not on the table for trade. Opposite actually. Team wants to keep him long term.

Ross would be a good addition but that is too much value for him. I don't see us making a trade with TOR. Orlando is not willing to trade Ibaka unless some a,axing offer we can't turn down appears.

Ouch. Today hurts. Sorry man. Sincerely.

Revived an old thread for this troll post? See its actions like these that your alone for valentines day.

Im ok with the trade. RH said that price for Ibaka was a young player and a 1st round pick and he ended up getting a young player and 1st round pick. Not the biggest Ross fan but maybe he will make me one. That pick is what I have my eye one. There are 4-5 guys in the late 20s this year that if we snag, I will be happy. Lets revive this post again on draft day ;)

The ol' alone on V-Day rip doesn't work on me. I sit on row 5 with a woman most men are checking out more than the game. You might have paid to see her on the Web at some point in your life.

Did not mean to hurt your feelings. I think the trade could work out great for Orlando if they draft right and develop their players with patience. See Rudy Gobert! I just think this old thread was an example of fans overvaluing their guy. We all do it. I defend Derrick Favors on here every other day. :D

Best of luck! Sincerely. I don't think Serge was coming back so your GM scored value in exchange for losing 2 months of his play. VERY WELL DONE by the Orlando GM.
