Philly going to lose in this situation any case, but espeasially if Embiid went down with another season ending surgery next day after they trade Noel

Why make it any more complicated than Crabbe for Noel straight up? Resolves some of the money difficulties and allows Portland to keep their 1st round pick to add depth at reasonable contracts.
Because Philly doesn't want to pay crabbe 21M per after his trade kicker.
And Crabbe just isn't very good in general. He's a negative value in any trade.
I think the sort of imagination that convinced Sean Marks to sign him to the offer sheet in the first place is exactly the sort of imagination Philly needs to fill out their wings with quality players. If you guys don't think there's any chance Crabbe fills into his contract then I understand why you pass but I think he's going to be a very good player with more minutes and the right playmakers around him. I'm not the first person to suggest this trade as I'm sure you know if you follow a certain dedicated Blazer site.

Hollis Thompson for Shabazz is a lot closer than Noel for Shabazz.

are you a GsW fan? just trying to keep offers from their own particular teams, cuts down minimally (at least thats the goal) of that fan base coming back with 'no we'd never do that.

If the Wizards ever offered their unprotected 2017 pick the Sixers should take it and run.

I have the Memphis pick above the Charlotte pick.
Memphis' 1st round pick to Boston protected for selections 1-8 in 2019 (conveyable if Memphis conveys a 1st round pick to Denver in 2017) and 1-6 in 2020 (conveyable if Memphis has conveyed a 1st round pick to Denver by 2018) and unprotected in 2021 [Boston-Memphis-New Orleans, 1/12/2015]
I think you can debate if it sneaks above the Portland offer with Jackson and the 2nd, I think there is a good case.
(Also, Burke is worse than what Phlly has at PG. And I don't trust that to be a real Washington offer)

I'm a Purple and gold fan, but blue and gold are my other Cal team because I have family up there. I'm really happy for their success. GS fans are great. They love basketball and went through a lot since the 80s.

Hm, I must have missed the details of the pick. That does definitely increase the value of that package *IF* BC is willing to kick the can down the road, so to speak, and have the patience for a potentially better pick down the road. I will bump that offer up quite a bit higher.

Re: Noel to
Rubio - Noel is the obvious choice to get Noel in Minnesota.
1 option for Philly - See what Rubio can do in a different scenario and trade him next season when Simmons comes back. He would improve Philly right away, no doubt about that.
2 option - Send Rubio to a third team in that deal.

Washington offer would be on top but I doubt they´d offer an unprotected first... That Houston package is solid as well though.

I think Noel would be a nice fit beside Myles turner for Indys future front court.
Maybe Ross to philly, Noel, Sullinger, Thompson to Indy, young, miles to Toronto

I was actually thinking something along these lines when I saw someone propose a while back a Ross/young swap.

Re: Noel to <your team>
I like the Lamb and a 1st deal but the deal I really think would be good value for both teams is a swap of Brandon Knight for Nerlens...
76ers: especially with Bayless out could use Knights perimeter scoring while inconsistent he can still heat up but also he can play on or off the ball on offense. He also has a good length contract at a good value. When the draft comes up this offseason they can either draft a PG (I assume they will) and utilize the lesser pick for the best wing available or utilize Knight along with the pick to trade for an established wing.
Even if they kept Knight going into next season he would still possibly start and if for example they grab a Fultz they can both play the scoring role and let Ben Simmons facilitate.
Noel to the Suns to me works because let's be honest Alex Len isn't looking good at all. Having Noel allows the Suns to get out and run a bit more and have a rim protector/rim runner in the paint. He doesn't require many touches on offense also allowing Booker/Warren/Bledsoe/Criss to get up more shots. Also Tyson if he isn't bought out may remain a steady influence on him. And while the team values cap space due to its current situations it's not a free agent destination. This move would also allow Ulis to get more backup PG minutes. I feel as if Bledsoe isn't really a true PG in the idea of getting others involved where as that's exactly what Ulis is.
I am also of the belief that the 76ers have had more than enough picks and outside of their top picks should look to start acquiring actual Current NBA players who fit the timeline they are looking for and who are on long term deals.

Jackson, and the celtics 2018 pick.
I would not give Rozier unless Noel agreed verbally to an reasonable $15-18 mill extension at the time of trade. I certainly would not give Rozier and the Memphis pick.

I'd probably flip this list and still include Clarkson. The picks are nice, but I'm more interested in pieces that fit around Simmons, so Ross and Lamb are worth rolling the dice more than a protected 1. McLemore is still intriguing...is he just not good, or just stuck in Sacramento? I really think the sixers will end up with a better record than the Kings and swap picks, so I'm not approaching a Noel trade as a tank move, plus Simmons is the "PG" in functionality, so I'm more interested in shooters than PGs.

Eh. The Sixers will have some high draft picks and trade assets to fill out their wing spot. Marks was in a position where it was necessary to take some calculated risks to try and fill out his roster. He also wasn't giving anything but cap space to try to get Crabbe... and at 15% less cap than the Sixers would be.

you should bring these all to the philly board after and do a poll ... then post the results back on here!
