I agree, can play PF or small ball C, so he can replace some minutes from all of the players they have lost.

I view a poor offense defensive guard is like a poor defense offensive center. Scoring, Spacing and playing making is kind of something you expect from a PG in a guard oriented league. Both lack in scoring. Rondo has a sizable advantage in shooting and play making.

Right now, we need somebody to cover up Trae on the defensive end and his contract will fit in exception, so Atlanta still have all of this cap space for Bogi

I don't love the idea playing him at SG with Trae any more personally. Dunn fine for his role. I just don't think he the better player .

This was about the time it became apparent Hayward was Indy or Boston bound or bust. I did not think they had a chance at Gallinari with his comments about wanting to play for a contender, but it worked out. Now lets see if Playoff Rondo wants to come to Atlanta.

I think Gallinari starts at SF. He played SF for 10 seasons and he could be the opening day starter over Hunter. The Hawks have something like 26 million in cap left and may still have a outside chance at Bogdan but I am not holding my breath.

I don't think Gallo can defend the SF anymore.. I could be wrong, but I worry that he and Collins are going to struggle together

I watched a lot of Gallo last year he can’t defend SFs. That doesn’t mean you don’t put him out there at that spot, but in iso perimeter situations he needs a helper.

I believe they can still resign KCP?

Think they could clear the cap for him. Seem like a way to run a player out the door making him go get his max.

There are too many moving parts that haven’t settled but as of right now with Ariza, Hill, Miller on the team OKC has under 75m in committed salary.

Sixers will happily take George Hill off your hands for free. Fits into our JRich TPE.

It’s just asset stacking by the Hawks. Sooner or later someone will have to go. Not many better uses of cap than to lock in a solid player like Gallo at that price.

Bucks really did not recover well from Bogdan. Now its Portis? That is not the answer to anything.

Don’t worry, the Mavs are done this offseason.

I’m really interested in what happens with Hayward though. He’s way too great a player to be sitting at home.

I don't know. They have two large expiring contracts and both players can play. Could be more Dallas news on the way in my opinion.

The Hayward situation is off. It does not seem right there is no deal yet. The Hawks reportedly offered less than the Knicks and moved on pretty quickly. His agent looks to have missed his mark on how much value he has.

I have a feeling: Hayward wants the Pacers, Pacers aren't going to give up more than Turner + filler, Ainge is being unreasonable.

I suspect that to stalemate until Hayward worries about not being able to fall-back to NYK. Then he signs in NY.

29.6 minutes is what Gallanari got last season. If the Hawks can put together a better defensive lineup to close games, its all good. If not, bombs away on the offensive end.

Trae @ 9.4 3PA, Gallanari @ 7.1 3PA, Huerter @ 6.0 3PA, Hunter 4.8 3PA, Reddish 4.3 3PA, and Collins @ 4.0 3PA.

They will at least be fast and fun to watch.

seriously Bucks messed up so bad. They will kick themselves for that Bogdan fiasco come playoff time. There still isn't nearly enough shooting. Last two signings make no sense. Feel terrible for Bucks fans, but as a guy with Giannis dreams I'm supposed to be happy about his. But mostly just hate how badly they are building around Giannis right now.

It will be VERY interesting to see what Giannis does with that Supermax offer.

This would suppose that Connaughton re works his deal to work for early bird rights, and that Portis will get around $3m per year in the MLE, or the full BAE, I guess? Maybe double S&T somehow? Either way, yikes.

Or, either Portis
