Can't pick impending UFAs

Are the expansion draft rules set in stone? I was thinking more of the players which the previous teams
owned a players bird rights. That would be a boon to the expansion teams if the former teams had to
protect an UFA (that may or may not sign with them) in order to secure their bird rights. Portland for
example be forced to protect Powell in order to keep their bird rights to that player.

I think too many good players would be left unprotected in this case

Sure. Tell me you need me to take and I'd be happy to.

I would protect Brown and Roby over Deck and Jerome for sure. What am I missing?

My Jazz have been done (perfectly, by babyjax) so if you are still short and can't find a home-team fan, I'm happy to pitch in.

Deck maybe, but Ty is at least a sniper. Brown is a 3rd stringer on a decent team and Roby is meh at everything IMO.

Hardest choice was not protecting Monk, but I am just not a fan. I would rather leave him available and if they take him, they take him.

Monk over Martin is an absolute no-brainer. The rest is good

Think I'm just lower on Brown after teams scouted him some. Think Deck might at least be something, and the Bulls were rumored to be interested in him.

Jerome looks like he could be a solid backup, and not as sure on Roby.

I will try the Milwaukee Bucks

Protected

1. Giannis
2. Holiday
3. Middleton
4. Lopez
5. DiVincenzo
6. Connaughton
7. Nwora
8. Merrill

Unprotected

- Bryant
- Diakite
- Thanasis

Free agents: Teague, Tucker, Forbes (2,4 mil PO), Portis (3,8 mil PO)

I have both Forbes and Portis opting out. If anyone opts in Merrill becomes available.

I know I already went but if you need someone just to help finish thing off I can take the spurs as well. They're very easy. They have nine guys under contract and one is Daquan Jeffries who they picked up off waivers at the very end of the season

I just figured Martin's defense is/should be more valuable to them than Monk's shooting. Hornets have a lot of offensive talent, but Cody is their best perimeter defender. Monk is certainly more talented in a nutshell, but I think Cody's defense is more valuable.

That said, I will defer to you and switch that pick.

Monk's defense is pretty underrated imo. Nothing to phone home about but he's the best defender out of our 4-man guard rotation (Ball/Rozier/Graham are all pretty bad defenders) and the difference on offense is enormous between him and Cody. Cody's hustle makes things happen on defense, but his horrible offense gives all that back and then some.

I don't hate having Cody Martin as a 5-10 min hustle guy when it's need, but I'm more than happy to cut him and his brother this summer so that Borrego can't keep pretending they are everyday rotation players.

Vernon Carey would get picked up by an expansion team before him, I'm almost certain of that.

if Temple is an UFA then maybe they retain Satoransky to either trade or buy out
they're in year 2 of revamping the roster

available

Thad Young
Tomas Satoransky
Aminu

Daniel Theis
Javonte Green
Ryan Arcidiancono
Denzel Valentine

the first 3 are expiring contracts that the Bulls could do well with the cap space, SEA could take any of them to have a steady veteran on the roster or take one with hopes of trading him to a playoff team for future assets. The next 4 are FAs, not sure if the Bulls have any rights to Theis who they should want back if they can afford him the same applies to Javonte Green . The others won't be back

Temple is definitely an UFA. You cannot have been in the league more than 4 years and be an rfa (or more than 3 if not off a 1st round contract).
