I mean raptors just cut out lal right?

Reddish, Alec, Noel for dragic and a pick.

THT doesn't have value.

Sent from my SM-G988U1 using RealGM mobile app

Maybe TOR likes THT more than you do? They wanted him last year

For the Knicks, it can be broken down into two trades.

#1
Noel + Burks for Dragic

#2
Reddish for appropriate salary.

Toronto and Lakers figure out how they want to do the THT, Burks and Noel part.

All figure out the picks owed part.

Maybe Knicks want cap space for next season.

Since Toronto already has enough bench guys that can't shoot, no idea why they want to add THT to the collection.

Wonder what Knicks want cap space for.

********************************************************

I think can also go back down to completely separate trades without THT.

#1
Burks + Noel for Dragic

#2
Reddish to Lakers for appropriate salary.

On a phone, so not easy to see if Toronto needs to send out minor contract to stay under luxury tax line

How much would it take for you to eat Westbrook?

read my mind

OKC get Westbrook+LAL27FRP+PHI22FRP
LAL get Harris+Favors
PHI get TPE

There is so much added value in working away from the Nets.

Even if you have to give up more to do it. Its much better to not send help their direction.

This would only make sense if the Knicks were getting Toronto's first. But it's the Knicks so would it surprise you if they traded a first for Reddish, barley played him, and three weeks later traded him for a couple of 2nds.

Also, at this point, I think Burks has more value than Dragic.

Having said all this, I would do this deal for the TOR 1st top 12 protected and a 2026 Lakers 2nd.

Raptors are giving an expiring to the Knicks here giving them back cap flexibility for the offseason. Plus Knicks may get Nunn ( or 2 vet min guys) in a separate trade for Reddish. I think they get a couple 2nds at most..

My post was about how the overall trade could/would be broken down into two trades so the issue of not being able to consolidate/aggregate Reddish with other salary would be avoided. I didn't go into the pick compensation owed to balance things out.

So, at this point there is no doubt that:
1) Harden and Philly want each other
2) Simmons isn’t playing for Philly again
3) Durant wants teammates committed to the team
4) ?

I mean if a deal doesn’t happen it is going to be fascinating.

Easy to say it now but I already didn't understand why Brooklyn wanted Harden last season. They were in a beautiful spot with KD/Irving+ a lot of good role players and their future picks.

They just can't risk to lose Harden for nothing. The only ones that should root for no trade to happen are rockets fans.

I hope the trade happens earlier in the day as I do feel it will create a windfall.

Maybe it'll be a 3 team trade? Idk if I'd want to add another knucklehead in Ben with Kyrie. Seems more combustible than the harden thing

The Knicks wanted Nunn in the offseason, so I could see the appeal for them of a Nunn/Reddish swap.

Reading the most recent rumors on Hoopshype:

Looks like Toronto is prepared to send out Dragic and a 1st for THT and Noel

Looks like the Lakers are on board with THT and 2nd for Burks and Reddish

But it looks like the knicks are not on board with including Reddish in the deal. Looks like the Knicks went and asked for Kendrick Nunn and the Lakers are having 2nd thoughts.

The ability to swap the Lakers 2023 pick with the 2023 pick the Knicks have from Dallas could have value.

I think KD/Simmons fit is really good. Also think Simmons wants to prove to everyone that he can play at an elite level. I doubt he will act like he did in Philly. Irving remains the main issue.

Depends on how much you buy all the reporting of him wanting to have the ball in his hands a lot on his next team and not be in the dunkers spot, because if it's true he's not going to be happy on such an iso heavy team where he has no where to stand besides the dunkers spot. Obviously winning cures all though

My guess:
Simmons Green Springer 23 1st unprotected for Harden

Then Springer and the Philly 1st get sent to a third team for win now help, possibly with Green or Harris or etc.
Maybe Milsap goes to Philly?

If I'm the Nets I'd ask for Bassey or Reed instead of Springer.
