If Dwight wants around $24M and Parsons wants $22.5M? Blazers have to gut all of the bench except crabbe (while moving Plumlee to the bench, but that means you gotta trade Ed Davis for Cap).
Still, Dame/CJ/Parsons/Aminu/Howard + Crabbe/Plumlee/Vonleh off the bench is probably a top 4 seed.

I do not understand this, but he could be a nice bench option. I guess...

Eh can't hate it too much at that price. Better than paying Mahinmi a contract like Mozgov's. Still, weird fit.

Mozzie now makes 6M per more than Big Al. :falloff:

Am I the only one who doesn't get teh Solomon Hill hype? How do you look at his stats and see a 'replacement for Hayward'???

As a Warriors fan, i look at Solomon Hill and see a replacement for Barnes. Replacement for Hayward may be a bit of a stretch. haha

Honestly I think it's that most people haven't seen him play outside of the Toronto series where he looked amazing. Outside of that series he was a strong defensive role player with a very shaky shot. Hard telling if the shooting will regress back to his career (which was horrendous) or if it will trend more towards a plus 3 point shooter.

I mean, even look at his per36 numbers...

http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/h/hillso01.html#per_minute::none

They trended down last year. But were fairly consistent from the year prior. I don't see the reason he's thought of beyond a backup at best.

He's not mean to be a Hayward replacement. Even if he signs and Hayward leaves, he's not a literal replacement. The hope I'm sure would be that Hood was ready to be the primary wing option and that Hill would complement him.

Hey, real life GMs seem to be trying to get him, so what do I know? I'm just hoping it's not my Jazz who sign him to a long contract. He scares me a bit. I'd rather take a known commodity on a short deal.

Solomon Hill has the potential to be the steal of this FA. I think in a year or two people will be looking at his contract similar to how people look at Crowder's contract now.

Where does this faith come from? Certainly not his stats.
