How do the kings actually view Hield these days, is he a positive or a negative (factoring in his deal)?

Wrong. Time for the NBA to put a stop to the agents ruining the league! Can’t give in now or it will just get worse. Time to make a stand!

What did I say that was wrong?

Let me see if this works

To Philly:
Collin Sexton
Buddy Hield
Chris Boucher

To Sacramento
Ben Simmons

to Cleveland:
Davion Mitchell
Sacramento 2022 top 5 protected 1st

To Toronto
Tyrese Maxey

Philly gets 3 guys who can put up 20 on any given night. their depth would be awesome. Sexton playing off Embiid could become an allstar

Sexton/Hield/Thybulle/Harris/Embiid. Curry/Green/Boucher/Drummond is a fantastic rotation

Kings get their guy. Simmons/Fox/Haliburton would be very fun uptempo team where Simmons could really unlock his true potential.

Toronto does this to turn a 29 year old role player suited for a contender into a very young player with upside. This is basically the Powell/Trent trade part 2.
2016 GMAT Blazers

Howard/Nene/

Thats an important part. On the Simmons front we've gone from wanting to play in California, to "one of three teams" in California

The teams thing doesn't seem real. It's been reported Simmons is fine with Minnesota, and it's been rumored he would've been fine with Cleveland. If Minny and Cleveland are in, there's no reason to think Sacto is out.

But i hope he goes to Denver. Jokic-Simmons-Murray would be insanely good.

The leverage is not there to get Portland to move Dame for Simmons. You dont get a player of Lillard's caliber for a guy who is literally threatening to sit out the season, who is limited enough to never be more than a #3 and who needs vets like Dame to remain engaged on and off the court IMO.

The only way Dame is moved for Ben is if he does the same thing that Ben is doing right now, that is threaten to sit out. And he wont do that.

Brodgon is almost 29 years old and hasn't shown he can't stay on the court since assuming more than 20 minutes a game. Why would sixers want injury prone player who's not even available for 3 of the last 4 playoffs he was involved in.

Obviously as a Mavs fan I'd want this to happen, would even include Brunson instead of Burke if needed. But yeah, think it may just be a bit too light for Philly

Philly gets a fellow Cameroonian to make Embiid happy. Toronto gets the younger player and a 1st rounder for a player that seemed to have multiple outbursts towards Nick Nurse last year.

Thoughts on the following trade?

Raptors get: Ben Simmons, Dwight Powell, Josh Green
Sixers get: Pascal Siakam, Trey Burke
Mavs get: Goran Dragic, Anthony Tolliver, Isaiah Joe

Why for Raps? DPOY-caliber player who might complement VanVleet's game very well. Plus Simmons is two years younger than Pascal. This also rids the Raps of a player who has clashed with Nick Nurse recently (Siakam) and a player who doesn't seem like he wants to be in Toronto (Dragic). It would also be a nice homecoming for Dwight Powell, who is originally from Toronto. Plus, Josh Green joins his fellow Aussie (Ben Simmons) in Toronto.

Why for Sixers? Get Embiid a fellow Cameroonian frontcourt buddy in Siakam. I can really see those two guys love playing with each other. I believe he would be the best player that Ben Simmons could fetch.

Why for Mavs? Dragic and Doncic seem like they are close and this get the newly minted max contract player his backcourt running mate to take some of the ballhandling duties off his plate.

Sixers cut Tolliver several days ago.

Works without Tolliver in the deal as well.

Because the offer, which is likely Beverly, Beasley and McDaniels, just isnt that great.

PHI is a win-now team. Joel may not be old, but he should be treated as such due to his injury history. A package with Buddy/Mitchell, CJ, Brogdan, Pascal, etc all make much more sense from a win-now perspective.

I also think PHI needs to get a package that brings in maturity, a vet leader who is a true professional to help steer the ship. Thats why IMO CJ and Brogdan are such great fits.

Philly fans are going to explode but I'm calling it now.

Fox and Bagley
For
Simmons, Maxey and thybulle. Maybe a protected pick or a second. At this point the picks probay get left out.

As a Cavs fan I would do Sexton and an unprotected 1st for Simmons and that is about it. I wouldn't do any pick swaps and no additional first round picks.

Cleveland Trades
-Rubio
-Sexton
-Unprotected 2022 1st

Philly Trades
-Ben Simmons

PG: Darius Garland (21 years old)
SG: Isac Okoro (20 year old)
SF: Ben Simmons (25 years old)
PF: Lauri Markkanen (24 years old)
C: Evan Mobley (20 years old)

Jarrett Allen (23 years old)

That is a really nice core. You hope that the shooting of the bigs offsets the poor shooting from the SG and SF position. Maybe you look to move Allen for a SF/SG.

You can relax. CLE has no assets to pursue Simmons. The most valuable are too raw.

Rich ball having his players demand out and facilitating a trade... and then shipping his clients too... minnesota seems really off brand the agency.

I'd think its probably something like sacramento, toronto, etc.

You can say Philly wouldn’t do the deal I proposed without going to the extreme of saying Cleveland doesn’t have the assets to get him. Cleveland obviously does. Even if you think Philadelphia wouldn’t directly receive the Cleveland assets, the Cavaliers certainly have enough assets to swing a three team trade if they really wanted Ben Simmons.

Minnesota isn't getting Simmons unless they include Edwards. And I doubt Klutch or Philly want one of their clients playing for the 76'ers. A third team willing to send value to the 76'ers for Edwards is needed for a trade to happen.

Some options Philly may like:

Grizzlies for Andersen and Bane
Pistons for Bey and Jackson
Hawks for Huerter and Johnson
Hornets for Washington and Bouknight

Every team has enough assets to pursue Simmons - up to selling their entire franchises. That was not my point. If we stay within limits of reasonable offers, then I see no offer from CLE that might beat those that are on the market, unless you want to offer Mobley. And I doubt you do.

Could be an option, though I would say Fox has more value.

None of these packages are worth close to edwards

Are you satisfied with the number of responses you have gotten to your poll yet? I want to go ahead and merge this with the Simmons containment thread since we are having some duplicate conversations at this point but if I do that your poll will be lost and I don't want to do that if you haven't gotten a chance to really review the results.

So if you could just let me know when you get a chance please?

thanks!
