Hearing whispers that Poeltl+RJ+2xFRP is a potential offer for Durant. I think this would be the best offer for Durant if Masai wants to pull the trigger.

That only happens I would assume if Durant would sign an extension at Toronto (which seems unlikely)

It does seem probable at this point that Durant ends up in Miami with Claxton joining the Suns as part of a three way trade with Brooklyn.

Would make the Heat an instant contender again I would think. Takes a lot of the scoring load and burden off Bam.

Actually I don't understand why TOR insist to trade away their starting C in Poeltl, can't rely on a rookie C, if TOR wants to be in the playoff.

I think they are intent on targeting Malauch or Queen or Sorber with 9.

They have Dick, Agbaji, Mogbo/Boucher off bench too.

After Durant trade they'd be looking for backup PG that's better than Shaed

That is what I am questioning, really want to rely on a rookie to be your starting C if you want to be competitive in playoff?

FYI - I'm adjusting my PJ valuation after the Bane trade.

Not sure what The Raptors current plan is tbh, surely they are not thinking they can make the playoffs next season with that young, inexperienced core (play in is an outside chance) ?

I do rate the young talent in their squad but I still think they just don't have enough ready made pros to push for the playoffs, esp as they play in arguably the most brutal and stacked division in the NBA (least in the East)

They should try move up in the draft if possible imo

Anthony, Konchar and 16 for Ayo and the Portland first? And seconds to your side?

With 16th and the open roster spot that frees up probably 15-16 mil more JJJ while getting an upgrade off the bench and the coin flip that Portland makes the playoffs the next 3 years?

KCP to the Lakers, Vincent & Maxi to the Nets with draft capital from the Griz to make it work. The Grizzlies get rid of about 22m.

Random thread stuff.

Orlando moves Isaac to get under the tax one last year right? (They’d have to move Isaac and not keep Harris but that’s very easy..)

Sac? SAS? OKC?

There really isn't another playoff team as leveraged as the Magic was that also controls all its picks. I'm sure the Grizzlies F.O. watched that first round series against OKC and concluded it was further away from contending than it was three years ago with that core.

Should be Sac, but what filler is used?

Feels more like a Carter move than Isaac for me? They can essentially always waive Isaac going forward, but Carter is the bigger salary and the more “locked in” salary? Plus, Goga is there to help stabilize?

I think Issac's extension last summer might have been guaranteed, or at least partially guaranteed.

Yes. And whether that's explicitly stated or merely implied, sometimes it's a negotiation tactic and sometimes it's just "let's not waste each other's time".

I think Carter is a more reliable spot starter and now Orlando needs that compared to the upside of Isaac’s when healthy minutes..

Between him and Goga, you feel comfortable spending 15% of cap on a subpar center committee given how expensive the other four starters are?

What are you guys (Multiple Bucks Fans) even talking about?

Every Bucks trade is demanding similar assets as Bane got + a blue-chip asset or young player (#2 in Draft, Amen/Sengun, etc).

You were one of the ones that said i asked for too much ( go back to HOU trades) and Texas ( i don't look at it from other teams prospective)

The Bane trade just proved that if Giannis is ever traded, it will be the biggest trade in NBA history.

You wanted Flagg, AD, Gafford and a 1st for Giannis, yeah, you really were very tame in your demands, you should ask for more...

I think it is a legit approach to go with 2 or 3 journeymen playing at C, and spend your money on ball-handlers and guards/wings. In fact, that pretty describes the approach of most recent contenders with the notable exception of Denver.

If I'm ORL, I would
-- keep the 2 cheapest Cs
-- look to upgrade the backup PG spot from Cory Joseph, maybe Tyus Jones or similar (aside: it is telling that Joseph made ORL siginificantly better with Suggs out, and I'm a bit surprised Cory is still in the league!)

===> Roll with a top 8 of Paolo/Franz/Suggs/Bane/Black/ plus C1/C2 and a backup PG, with other players basically filled with rookie contracts and minimums
In a no-win argument, the first poster to Let It Go will at least retain some peace of mind

Nice Try - Wanted Flagg and 5 1st for Giannis

Bucks get: #1 ( Flagg ) / Zac Collins / Huerter / 2025 Bulls 1st / Bulls 2027 1st / Bulls 2029 1st / 2029 Lakers 1st / 2031 Bulls 1st
Bulls get: AD / Reaves
Mavs get: Giannis / White
Lakers get: Gafford

Odd to keep arguing over what trade "proves" what Giannis is getting when you say in the previous breath Giannis is never getting traded.

Just be happy you are keeping him right? :D
