Not sure how it would be better when they already got the pick and would just be getting nothing for Iguodala rather than flipping him for something, unless you're referring to how it would make them more likely to be bad enough to keep their pick.

What I'm saying is Iguodala is much better than the typical player who's attached to a salary dump for a pick and is just on a a reasonable expiring deal, so buying him out is basically the bare minimum that could've been expected at the time of the trade.

Duffy gets quoted in the whole thing in a way that makes him sound eerily in the middle. It makes me feel like he was told he could find a trade, came back and said that Dallas would do it, Miami said great, only to find out that Dragic's camp had overstated what Dallas had said.

But is Miami still committed to moving Dragic?

This all sounds like Dragic asked for an opt out and sign long term deal (like Barnes did). Got told no. Decided best to opt in... and look for a trade to a team that might extend him or plans for him long term.

i personally do but theres still good contingency of laker fans who want him back at min, i prefer not....he really is a low iq player, he can shoot but whatever defensive rep he got from his det day clearly hasnt transferred to la.
