[Woj] Horford, Ferg, 1st, 2nd for Danny Green

Green for Horford and picks: your take?

Green means Go: Sixers win. They trade a redundant, expensive luxury for a need and don't have to add that much.

Green around the gills: Thunder win. They're cycling through productive vets and still adding picks along the way.
16
19%
Wait in the Green room: both sides win. Philly improves on the court and OKC improves their stash.
30

The Grass is always Green-er: both sides lose. Green is more rep than production, and OKC didn't get paid enough for taking on Horford.

Wow, didn't expect Philly to unload that contract so easily. OKC with like 18 picks in the next 6 years. I'm guessing Horford is simply salary filler due to all of the smaller contracts the Thunder will be signing over the next few years, along with Adam's big contract.

Good to see some people admitting they were wrong haha and that 2025 pick won’t be any good as long as Morey is still the GM and our core Simmons and Embiid will only be 29 and 31

so anyone have confirmation on the final structure here? It surprises me a little if Presti sacrificed Gallo's rights here as he could possibly have pulled back another asset. Maybe he knows Atlanta is just signing him?

And yes I'm asking because I'd like Dallas to make a play on him.

In which case the inclusion of Ferguson hurts.

I like it for both teams. Presti and OKC can highlight Horford while struggling to be a 8th seed. After the CP3 and Rubio trades, I see no way they are as competitive as they were last season. OKC in full rebuild mode acquiring pick after pick and losing ground slowly on winning.

Green will fit in with Doc and Philadelphia in a big way. I think Fergusun is great injury insurance and a solid sleeper backup.

Agreed. Presti is rehabbing player's value and then flipping them for profit. Smart business model. Buy low, sell-high. Not sure that future FRP is overly valuable, but never a bad idea to get long-term assets in a rebuild.

Can the Thunder re-aggregate Horfords salary with Oubre's if this deal occurs in December?

Horford: $27,500,000

Green: $15,365,853
Ferguson: $3,944,013
Total: $19,309,866

Matching rules:
Non taxpayer: 6,533,334 to $19.6 million The outgoing salary plus $5 million
Taxpaying Teams: 125% of the outgoing salary, plus $100,000

I have this deal not working as over the cap. Not unless OKC is adding another player still. Or combining it with another deal where they send salary elsewhere, and then we need 3 team touching rules.

That Noel addition perhaps???

Realistically probably Roby and Muscala. Not sure why you'd want Roby, though. I hope it's not Diallo.

Edit: Muscala just opted in. I'm thinking it's Roby and Muscala, with Roby going elsewhere.

Cannot be Noel. Would hardcap Philly and probably violate the hardcap.

Could be a simple as Roby/Muscala, or I would guess it might even possibly be someone that OKC takes back in a possible Gallo S&T that operating as over the cap might enable them to acquire.

In which case Philly is paying an extra 10m or so in tax? I have the benefits of this deal in salary savings versus Danny Green being so much more impactful than Horford, so the more names that get added the worse the deal looks for Philly.

They just have to leave OKC, they don't have to go to Philly.

This, and, I’d have to think that OKC is a bit in the drivers seat. Who else is taking that long term money for a relatively affordable price? Seems like Philly already has a great deal, and just has to be patient to lock it in. :dontknow:

So, in between linking the highlight videos of the Sixers 3 draft picks, Morey links Muscala's highlights. Guess Muscala is going to Philly!

It's because it was that Muscala shot that led to the Maxey pick conveying.

This, but also I think it’s Muscala and Roby in the deal
