Dont think that got anything to do with it. Dinwiddie cant play offball, and both luka and brunson is way better with the ball. Dinwiddie just isnt good enough to fill that role and probably wont spend a minute on the floor this season when luka or brunson is on, so how happy will he be in the summer?
As i said, i can buy bertans. I have no idea what they gonna do with dinwiddie. He is such a knicks player
If there's anything you want to hope for, it's Dinwiddie playing off the ball.
He's decent on catch and shoot threes and if he can attack close outs his ability to finish at the rim can be a plus.
Be very afraid when he's asked to initiate the offense. He's a ballstopper, loves dribbling in place not going anywhere and seemingly can't get by anyone anymore.
He also seems to be quite fond of taking pull up, side step and stepback threes that don't have a prayer of going in.
Bertans is a complete mystery, I have no idea what happened to him quite frankly.
He can't defend anybody, but if he can find his stroke he can be a one man wrecking crew.
Haven't seen that guy in a season and a half though, so who knows.

Remember that time the Knicks used KP to get Zion, KD and Kyrie in NY while Dallas had the best young duo in the league with Luka and KP?

Wait what? This completely slipped under my radar and I was hitting refresh like a maniac all day yesterday.

It came out of seemingly nowhere near the end of the deadline. A very bizarre move by Dallas. Almost have to wonder if they have some undisclosed reason to do this.

Legler, Perk, RJ and that crew loved it for Dallas. Go figure.
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

Let’s called KP a unicorn because he is never on the floor. My word

One of the top 5 worst trades in the history of the tread deadline. Makes zero sense. Maybe if Dallas got KCP's expiring instead of Dinwiddie, or if they had to take both bums getting Deni or Rui. But no, Mark Cuban once again proves he's the Daniel Snyder of the NBA. Actually, my apologies to Snyder, he's better
