Don't want to offend our Boston fans, but I can't imagine KD cares about Brady being there...

Sorry, Durant likes his balls properly inflated.

Look Brady is obviously a legend and a Boston icon. But Durant has made it pretty clear he wants these meetings to be about the basketball and not a dog and pony show. I honestly don't think Brady being there has any impact on things.

Al Horford OTOH

If teams get into a bidding war over Raymond Felton, reason has officially left the building.

Pellies offer Felton 4 years, $60 million. AD's head explodes.

I don't know about that, would have to see the results over more than this year, would take some tinkering we won't likely see now.

But that's a lot of money, we have lots of needs.

He's oft-injured (missed 97 games the past 3 seasons), doesn't shoot the 3 as well as advertised (37% last year, 34% the year prior), and is an absolute sieve defensively (92/99 among PFs in DRPM last year, 79/80 the year before, and 59/65 the year before that). And that's before we start to talk about how the Kings have a roster that's half big men already.

Catch-22 for Boston. They want Horford, but they should also want Millsap. I guess if he tells them he's not coming no matter what, they could offer on Paul?

No. The whole Boston play is KD + ? = winning.

If you think KD says yes this year to coming because you have Milsap then absolutely. But if you read the tea leaves, Durant is 1 + 1 and you try again next summer, why squander assets that can be used then? Because Milsap is opting out in a year, and I'm not sold moving from a 50 to a 54 win team does enough to help the chances versus having Jaylen Brown to flip for a third good player in a year.

If I am Boston and Horford fails, I walk it back and start planning for Blake Griffin and Durrant or some similar pairing in a year. And maybe end up like Houston or worse... Dallas.

Teams are spending like the cap is going up to $159M next year when it's only going up to $109M.

Honestly, as a admitted green teamer I would have preferred just Ainge and maybe Stevens showing up to the meeting. Kelly Olynyk? Why even bother, your not going to match the star power of other teams, you're just making that more obvious. I'm not totally sure what Ainge is thinking, he should have just brought a shirt that said assistant GM to give to KD instead.

Depends if they know each other and Brady brought Giselle and her sisters. I'm not a Brady guy but you can at least tell he loves New England.

I'm not all that familiar with his track record coming in but so far the closest he's been on anything is that the Magic put in a call to Jeff Green.
