Taj will re-sign but for cheaper, right? Like lock of the off-season, has to be.

Possibly. Or I’m not sure where else he ends up.

Knicks have a lot of Cap-Space now. WHo they gearing up for?
FVV? Or Westbrook trade? Or keep the space mainly open for next years FA class?

The Knicks didn't pick a PG last night, they're prepping to absorb the contract of someone or give FVV big money.

THJ officially picked up his option. No surprise but a relief for Dallas that its done. He helps on the court or as a salary matching tool.

Just moved Dallas to the "loser" category...

Re: Random Rumors and Trade Board General Thoughts Thread
Warriors are so interesting right now. Curry should still be a top 5 player and Draymond I think still has life in the tank. But there just isn't enough around them and adding competent role players would just be so expensive and they are still not likely a HCA team.
No idea what they do, but I'm telling you teams should be calling on Draymond and just seeing.

As of right now I got GS as the 8th seed, maybe seven if CP3 missing time.

Even as someone who doesn’t want to see the Warriors rise to dominance again the news about Klay’s injury is just depressing.

it sucks. Saw an interview with his dad (before the achilles confirmation) and it was hard to watch.

Yeah, awfully hard to make serious moves with a dead 35M on the cap.

Smitty pointing out that GSW will almost certainly apply for (and likely get) a DPE for Klay, over $9M to acquire a player though that player must be on an expiring deal (no options).
GSW will have some opportunities to add but they are also going to have to pay a fortune in taxes if they use them all.

It's hard to deal a fan favorite, but they really should consider rebuilding. Curry will turn 33 this year, and they're a fringe playoff team at best without Klay. Get a huge haul for Curry, tank hard again in a no/low attendance year, and hasten the rebuild.

The last years of Curry's best should not go this way. I really hate that this is happening.

Though the more I think about it, between the Iggy TPE, the MLE, and essentially a 1 year MLE, maybe they really can add decent talent if they're willing to pay for it (though it's a ton).

Yeah they want be in competition for a title with Klay injured and then he likely never gets back to himself afterwards.
It's a terrible situation all around.
I imagine they just push forward trying to compete against the odds and likely fail.
At some point they realise it's not possible to win and they have a huge luxury tax bill and a new stadium they are trying to fill.
I think trying to trade Green and Wiggins is a must if they don't perform next season.
