Oh, supposedly Washington is willing to trade Bertans.
Looks very negative value to me; anyone interested?

Windy says Pistons are 'Lurking around' oladipo for some reason. I'd take lighter protections on the owed first but I have no idea why Detroit is even interested to begin with

How negative? This negative:
Bertans, Bryant for Horford, Muscala
Or this negative?
Bertans, Rolo for Horford, Muscala, Williams

I thought that same, when Grant / Plumple got paid. And today, it seems like it was a master move. ..but I don't understand, why would they want OladipoK_chile22 wrote:Windy says Pistons are 'Lurking around' oladipo for some reason. Is Plumlee positive?
Would Charlotte or Toronto take him ? Nets?

He is, but Detroit would want a first at the bare minimum. Brooklyn's best offer would be Dinwiddie and a second or two and Detoit would say, we can give you Wright for that but it's not enough for Plumlee. A deal with Charlotte or Tampa Bay could ultimately fall apart over pick protections given where those two teams are in the standings. The Raptors could match salary with Baynes, but I don't see the Pistons wanting to pony up to re-sign Norman Powell or Malik Monk.

Think lakers at least have to ask the raptors what they want for Powell.

Plumlee for Dinwiddie was rumored to have been discussed between the two teams. Not sure who stopped the discussion. But with BKLN getting Blake Griffin for free I assume they no longer have any interest in Plumlee.

Detroit isn't a FA destination, need to get players there first. Also ownership and Casey don't want a long rebuild. The Pistons also were linked to Aron Gordon recently as well, so it seems they're looking to pair a now player with Grant and then add a top five pick rookie and think their rebuild is done. I think there is a bit of a buy low attempt on their parts - can't offer a FRP and won't likely offer any of their rookies so it's really Sekou Doumbouya the main prospect piece in any offer. He was #15 OA in 2019 draft but is still raw as hell and needs to be spammed playing time ROS.
(Detroit really likes their 2020 draft class of Hayes, Stewart, Bey and Lee)

I've tried to deal him at basically get off the contract prices a couple times, but to no avail. If Dallas is making another big move destroying cap space I'd take him as an expensive bench flamethrower.
But yeah I think he got too much for too long based on one season and think Washington isn't going to find a taker easily.

I think he's not positive, but Charlotte should definitely take him anyway.

He also says Heat are strongest Lowry team, but Philly and Clippers interested(Stein had earlier hinted at Dallas as well). Lowry's preference is supposed to be Miami not Philly because of Butler. But Raps want Herro or Robinson in return.
Heat also favs to sign a bought out LMA with Portland in the mix.
Lots of Collins interest(Celtics, Kings, Mavs, Pistons, Wolves) Hawks asked for Beasley and a 1st and Minny said no. Boston also would like Bogdan in a Collins deal.
Clippers chasing PG's everywhere as expected --Lowry, Ball, Hill, Rubio
Gordon in demand. Houston trying to offer up Dipo to get him.
Mavs and Cavs talked about Drummond (barf)
Warriors shopping Oubre
Dieng possible buy out guy
Nets willing to include Dinwiddie for help now.

I don't buy Detroit in for Collins. Both nothing to offer in the ballpark of what it would need, and because they like Jerami Grant at the 4.

If the Hawks land Ball, all I can say is Trader Trav ( Schlenk ) is a madman. I don't hate it at all. But this is way out from left field for me.

I agree. Even as bad as the Hawks had been the previous three years, Miami and Atlanta still had quite a few good games that were not decided until the 4th quarter.

I wonder how much it would be buying a rising stock and selling a falling one, versus liking Ball's fit long term.

Doesn't feel completely left field. Schlenk likes the main Warriors trio and Lonzo is one of the closest skill comparisons to Draymond in the league.
Defensively it would be ideal to help pair with Trae in the backcourt. The wrinkle will be how they get Trae to play off-ball or to play off Ball more.

Schlenk's mantra has been he likes players who can dribble, pass, and shoot. Maybe its to acquire a better future asset or it could be Ball just fits in Schlenk's wheelhouse.
With the current team success, I would not be completely surprised if Ressler thinks its ok to be slightly in the luxury next season.
