No reason for him not to be in the trade if he picked up his option..

It does cost the Sixers some money which was presumably one of the reasons for this trade. I feel like if OKC wants to add players so they can operate over the cap then after the trade is complete the Sixers should be able to dump Scott into one of their TPEs for free.

How about Scott, Zhaire, future 2nd

I'm honestly not interested in giving the Thunder any more assets and if this wasn't part of the original trade, I'm not sure why OKC gets to dump Muscala and Roby on Philly. But push to comes to shove I'd give you a bad second to take on Scott. Otherwise might as well see if you can do something productive with his salary.

Lowe Post has Lowe say Marks says Detroit tried to make it a 3 teamer... with no more details.

Can't even conceive of what part of this pile of junk they were looking to get a piece of.

The 1st and Horford is my guess. OKC gets expiring Snell and 34 for Green? That would have been my play.

If that's the case, I think my preference would have been to cut out OKC.

Feel like Philly saved enough money and adding a bench big that can shoot isn’t a bad thing. Like if he was a free agent, you’d be good with signing him considering the current backup center situation.

The problem is that the Sixers would likely end up having to cut someone with a guaranteed contract so it does cost them cash in the end. Maybe OKC sends cash to cover it or something?

Maybe I'm missing something obvious but there has to be more added to this trade right? Otherwise, why couldn't it be completed now if OKC was using the Adams TPE for Horford? Just trade Horford into the TPE. Trade Green into the newly created TPE to Philly. And three seconds later in a separate non-aggregated transaction just dump Ferguson into the remaining Philly TPE.

OKC is trying to keep the Adams TPE. I’m not sure what was agreed to between Presti and Morey but obviously there’s a relationship there so I don’t think there’s tension about whatever was worked out. Or uncertainty for them.

That's sort of my point though is that clearly they worked out some addition to the trade for OKC to keep the Adams TPE or this would have been completed immediately after the Adams trade. Here's hoping that the Sixers signing Justin Anderson as a depth defensive wing indicates Hill is being swapped in for Ferguson.

I saw somewhere that Poirier was being added, but it might have just been a poster on here

Andre Roberstan was posting it on twitter today--his source was in French so I can't speak to exactly what it said, but the gist was Poirier was going to Philly.

It was a couple of places but it doesn’t make the matching work still, unless I’m missing something.

Hill would be nice. Are you going to be a Sixers guy again if Morey starts looking promising?

I think CHA could go for Horford if they’re in the playoff mix

Topic title update anytime soon? You make it sound like Horford and Ferguson plus 2 picks were traded for Green lol.

If Poirier was involved that’s enough salary to match for Hield and make it a 3 team deal. Not saying it’s going to happen but throw a pick on top and it doesn’t seem outrageous
